[Closed] [OOC] The Legendary Beast Pack

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Hoss
Gender:
Current Age: 28

Species: Marowak
Battle Record: 21/19/31

Body Mods: Hoss wears thick, bony armor all over his body; a flattish skull adorns his chest, while thick shoulder blades act as arm and leg covers. His bone is spiked and very thick at one end. A necklace of small bones is strung around his neck, and pointed teeth are affixed to each knuckle on both of his hands. His actual skull, fused to his head as usual, has a thick spike on the nose as well as two on either side, in the back. In contrast to his skull, these additional bones are slightly yellowed, although still well-kept.
Ability Mods: Hoss is the content wielder of one of the few-in-number Ancient Weapons, aka the oddly thick club. Passed down for untold generations, whether by blood shared or blood shed, the Ancient Weapons are particularly powerful, old bones fabled for their powers when held by a marowak. Quite a bit better then a Thick Club for smashing, the spiked club that Hoss owns bestows him with odd, flitting knowledge of the unique physical fighting styles of other pokémon species. And it can smash things good, too, even ghosts if it must. Due to his added knowledge of basic pokémon instincts, Hoss is extremely skilled at reading body language and predicting moves before they happen.

Personality: Hoss is gruff and easily annoyed, and he prefers his own company to that of others. That's not to say that Hoss is antisocial; he would enjoy a good joke or a party as much as the next pokémon. (Not that anyone around him throws any parties or, actually, tells any jokes. Except for the crazies.) The marowak also has an odd fondness for children, wondering at their innocence that he can't remember ever having. He'll protect a child (or anyone he knows well, really) with nothing short of his life and safety. He, like most in the pits, is pragmatic when it comes to fighting; if you have a groin, he will kick it, and if you don't he'll make you one so he can. Hoss is also very protective of his possessions, thinking lowly of thieves. (By 'thinking lowly', of course I mean beating up)

Hoss is also not without his own sense of humor, although it's generally kept in his skull. He's also a bit more intelligent than he lets on, preferring to only show his knowledge when it's absolutely needed. Among this knowledge is, of course, an almost reflexive knowledge of other pokémons' fighting styles. Hoss can act as a bit of a silent mediator at times, since his rather intimidating appearance and well-developed deathglare are an effective duo. He also has an uncanny habit of noticing peoples' emotions when they are attempting to hide them.

Bio: At an extremely young age, Hoss found his memory. He was alone in the world, only a couple of human years old, and barely a toddler. A cart, drawn by battle-scarred rapidash, almost ran him over one day. Scared, having never come into any contact with humans that he could remember, he ran to the most enclosed place he could find; the back of the cart.

Inside, as it happened, were a number of rather runty cubone of around his age. Hoss had picked up a vague image of himself in the water to realize that these were his brothers. He scooted in between them and, oddly enough, their owner never noticed that he had joined the litter.

Of course, this was the biggest mistake Hoss had ever made, probably including things he couldn't remember. He was hurtled into the pits, forced into evolution, and given a bone his 'master' had found in an old box. More bones were grafted onto his skull, and slowly Hoss grew accustomed to the vile fights he had to take part in. A delcatty here, a clefairy there, all fallen or matched in battle. Ursaring he had problems with, as well as an umbreon at one point. But Hoss obviously survived it all relatively intact, at least. He managed to finally slam his master over the head and make a mad dash out of the place, eventually joining up with the Beast Pack.

Relationships: Nope.

Other: I always kinda regretted not joining the RSP.

my my isn't this familiar.

against my better judgement, reserve me up, if you would please.

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Reserved.

How is it familiar...?

EDIT: *headdesk*

It seemed familiar to me too.

RSP, right?

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Yeah, that's it. But that's okay! 'Cause this one... it'll be better!
And probably less confusing to new people!

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Edward Alarick
Gender:

Current Age: 26

Species: Persian

Battle Record: W: 199 / L: 0 / D: 1

Body Mods: Edward is a small Persian, standing at only about 3 feet tall. He weighs about 80 pounds, due to his arm. His fur is gold and rather dirty, and his eyes are gold as well, but a deeper shade. He bears a long scar over his left eye, and another down his back, which is fresh. He also has a large mess of scars over his chest and right shoulder, where it's really skin and his left arm is made of steel, a high-grade combat prosthetic. The claws are retractable, though he doesn't do that often, and is able to resist most forms of attack.

Ability Mods: He can use Charm, Assist, and Tail Whip via breeding, and the metal arm lets him use Metal Claw.

Personality: Edward is sullen and bitter most of the time, as well as cruel and largely without mercy. He tends to be blunt with others, not covering up the ugly truth, though he prefers to hide his own feelings towards others, and will show affection by smacking around the object of affection. He harbours a bitter hatred of Houndoom, and will attempt to kill on sight. He may be a rather rough guy, but he is nice deep down (when he wants to be), and tends to alternate between a Jerk with a Heart of Gold, and a Jerk with a Heart of Jerk.

Bio: Born to a Delcatty father and a shiny Persian mother, Edward had two younger siblings, both brothers. He was chosen to fight at a young age, when he showed promise in combat. Before his combat training could begin, however, his mother was tossed into the ring and killed by a ratty old Houndoom. The beast then told the young Meowth that if he didn't train and be strong, he would kill him as well. Edward took these words to heart, and witnessing the death of his mother started his decent into madness. He never forgave his father for not stepping in to save his mother as well.

Shortly after that fight, he was taken away from his remaining family and had his right arm removed with a buzzsaw. Just before this was done, a pair of Weavile belonging to his owner's friend gave him the scar over his left eye, and a promise that they would remember him, and teach him real pain. Soon after, the arm was replaced with a Combat Prosthetic, and it took him about 7 months to recover from it. As soon as he could move, he trained, day in and day out, until his owner told him it was time to evolve. He removed the arm, and evolved Edward, then replacing a new arm onto him, of the appropriate size.

Edward became a terror in the pits, destroying anything he was faced with in his mindless rage and drive to strike down the one who had taken his mother from him, not thinking that he was doing the exact same thing. He racked up an extensive and perfect record, and became a prize fighter, and gained the name The Golden Terror.

But on the day of his 200th battle he was faced against a familiar face; his best friend from his innocent, youthful days. He didn't back down, going into the ring with confidence and fought hard. But the battle ended in a tie when the daughter of his opponent's owner got in the way. Edward, however, treats this as a loss.

He fled afterwards when he heard that a few of his old friends had ran to join a pack or some odd thing. He tried to take his brothers with him, but they were separated in the attempt, and he now seeks to find them.

But on his way to find the pack, he stumbled across the body of a Kangaskhan in a pool of blood. Investigating the body, he soon uncovered that, instead of the normal Kanga-baby in her pouch, there was a small Riolu. He took pity on the young one, and started to carry her with him in his hunt for the group.

Relationships: He has a crush on Sheila (but would never admit it), is Halan's friend/enemy thing

Other: GUESS WHO'S BACK.

...

Now this looks like a job for me
So everybody just follow me
'Cause we need a little controversy,
'Cause it feels so empty without me~

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Sheila Vexzorn
Gender:

Current Age: 25

Species: Ninetales

Battle Record: Wins: 85/Losses: 15/Draws: 0

Body Mods: Her body is completely black, with haunting yellow eyes. This is a known trait in her family; that although some might have the typical cream color fur, there will always be something about them that’s black. Only a couple have the yellow eyes, however. She is a bit underweight because of the way her owner used to treat her.

Ability Mods: Sheila is plagued by a... something, that takes her over when she's in extreme danger or incredibly angry. She doesn't know what it is (yet) and she's a tad afraid of it, because she tends to black out when it happens, although it's only happened once so far. She calls it the Demon, and you can tell when it's in control because bright, glowing red markings appear all over her body, and her fire is black rather than orange. I plan for her to go inside her mind eventually to tame this thing.

Personality: Silent, and dislikes fighting from being in-ring from the moment she could be. She prefers to care for any children that the pack may happen to save, because she doesn't want them to suffer like she did. She has a soft spot for children. If there's one thing she despises, it's a traitor, and if she finds that one has betrayed her, her dislike of fights doesn't matter anymore. She WILL kill the traitor.

Bio: Sheila hails from Kanto, and had been beaten and trained for the ring for most of her life. Just before her training started, she was forced to watch her parents killed in the ring, ripped apart and burned by their attacker. And this was after the human had sold off each and every one of the siblings she knew about.

She had a twin sister, but the human they belonged to never let them see one another. For years, their only link was a Glaceon named Frost, until one day he managed to escape the dingy apartment unnoticed. It was a few months later that Sheila broke free from her chains one night while the human was sleeping; knocked out from the alcohol he loved so much, and decided to see this sister for herself. But when she entered the room the cage was in... there was nothing there. The bars of the cage had been melted away.

So now it was her turn. Seeing a shattered window, undoubtedly where both Frost and her mysterious sister had escaped, she backed up... and jumped. She's been searching for the both of them ever since that day. She's also been searching for the siblings that had been sold off to other trainers that she could tell just by looking were as cruel, or worse than that human was. A couple of which she knew had been the human's mates before.

Relationships: Has a bit of a... crush on Edward. Others will be filled in later. :3

Other: BACK AGAIN.

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Paza
Gender:

Current Age: 16

Species: Meowth

Battle Record: 16/20/4

Personality: Hyper and cocky. Doesn't like being restrained. Paza has one simple stratagy; If it doesn't work...try it again.

Bio: Paza was origionally a chef's pet, but the chef went out of buisness and sold Paza to an underground fighter. Paza was abused for knowing limited attacks, and often lost because of it. His losses got so bad that his trainer started beating him, until he finally learned Pay Day.

After being forced to make his owner rich, his owner sold all his Pokémon, Paza included, and bought a powerful Dragonite. Paza was sold to a man named Jimmy Bob. Jimmy, being new to battling, often pitted Paza against stronger opponents. Paza eventually got so fed up with losing that he stopped battling. Jimmy decided that Paza needed to go if he couldn't win. Jimmy tried to convince Paza to fight again, gave him a comfy bed and good food, and soon Paza started fighting again.

Paza tried his hardest to win. At first, he only got draws, but eventually, he started winning and learning new attacks. At first, he only just won, but after a while and some unlucky losses, he became capable of winning quickly without getting badly hurt.

One day, Jimmy was hit by a stray attack whilst walking through the crowds and died. Jimmy was locked in a cage, waiting to be bought again.

Relationships: Don't know don't care mind

Other: Nope

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Allum

Gender:

Current Age: 17

Species: Eevee

Battle Record: 56/1/7

Body Mods: On any of his forms there will be a small silver ring on the forehead that can shine in the dark if needed or blind his opponent with a burst of light.

Ability Mods:
Body morph: Allows Allum to swap between all of the Eevee evolutions at will. However due to the instability of his DNA caused by this form changing his weaknesses are amplified three fold when not in his usual form.

Personality: Allum is cheery but will analyse any situation to his advantage. He is a good judge of character and will trust most without a second thought. Due to the way he was treated he despises those who treat others badly for a simple mistake.

Bio: Allum spent the first five years of his life in a lab. He was usually contained in a safe room but every day he would be taken out for tests, they injected him with DNA of a Ditto and forced him to change forms, they wanted the Eevee DNA to amplify the Strength of the Ditto DNA but they were only left with an Eevee that could become any of its evolutions. Despite all they tried Allum was still limited to these forms and always tired out if he changed too much.

Eventually they gave up on creating a powerful pokemon and sold him off to an experienced trainer called Zach that saw potential in this ability. Zach trained Allum with every scrap of time, he spent five years of his life learning to control his ability and fight before he was placed into the pits where he used his skills to an advantage. On his fiftieth win his owner gave him the title 'Changer'. but that was short lived.
During one of the battles he was unable to swap forms fast enough and was pelted by flames to within an inch of his life before he successfully stopped the onslaught. He returned to his trainer who seemed to seem concerned but after he was healed up his Trainer beat him.

That had been the last straw, praise for killing pointlessly but hate because of a simple mistake drove Allum to the edge, he turned on his trainer and attacked him to within an inch of his life before fleeing into the night as an Umbreon.
He joined with the Legendary Beast Pack soon after.

Relationships: Open

Other: Looks good.

Re: The Legendary Beast Pack

Name: Halan Storm
Gender:

Current Age: 36

Species: Lucario

Battle Record: 189/10/1

Body Mods: He has a long, shaggy patch of fur on his head that acts like hair which he pulls back into a small pony. His eyes are pale blue due to his father's side of the family, which has a deeper meaning to it than one would guess.

Ability Mods: ...a mess of physical and special moves, thanks to his parents. From top of head...hmm...Blaze Kick, bullet punch, Psychic (To be discovered later) and the ability to use his Aura when he was a Riolu.

Personality: He can come off as cold at first, not one to show much emotion to those he really doesn't know. But once you get into his inner circle, you will find him to be quite warm and almost silly if there isn't work to be done. He is deeply interested in human-made mecha, having this crazy notion of driving a boat if need be. He is quiet at most times, often told to be wise beyond his years, and is very kind when it comes to women and children. He holds a hatred for humans, but he also holds a shred of tolerance for them because of the kindness of one human girl.

When angered (usually either by Edward or seeing something he deems "wrong"), he is not one to pull punches. He fights with honour and not one to fall to "dirty fighting" like his childhood friend seems to have. He is loyal to a fault, prideful of his skills in aura (self-taught), and has a strong sense of right and wrong...though, when caught up in the moment he can be as blood thirsty as the next pokemon, slowly slipping into a persona he had in the ring,

Bio: Before the escape, before he even thought of such things, he lived in a dark damp room with other pokemon. He has known them all his life, one ninetales more so. The Ninetales was a nice old gal, taking him in when he was brought into their storage room as her own. He was a young riolu then, about a day old when he was taken from a daycare when it was being ransacked. The first son of a pair strong and well known Lucarios from the old trainer days, the man that took him had high hopes he'd be a unstoppable fighting machine. He was tossed into the ring before he could stand right and lost, having his life spared by one moment of mercy from a young Luxio named Xeres. Time after time when he was a riolu, he'd lose with an inch of life still in him. The human lost interest in him and started to plot ways of getting rid of the dead weight.

What the man didn't know was that Halan was stronger than he let on. He hated the man that owned him, never using his full strength in battle because of this. In secret, he'd practise his aura, developing it at a young age through self-teaching. When Halan was deemed useless, he was soon scooped up by the man's daughter and was cared for. At first he distrusted her simply because she was human, but by watching her with the other pokemon under her father's ownership, he saw something no human ever had. He saw a light and a goodness to her. After spending time with her, listening to her dreams and wishes for a better future with pokemon, he soon grew to love her. Through this love, he evolved into a Lucario in her arms...and thus started his decent into hell. She was barred from seeing him again, her father taking him back and starting a new method of training him for battle.

He was locked in a cold room, the sound of dripping water the only thing he could hear from the complete darkness of the room. He was kept in that room for five days straight, each night ending with the man walking in with a whip and beating him relentlessly. He was starved and slowly driven crazy from the constant dripping, his wounds stinging each time he shifted. On the last day, he would send in his prized Weavile twins to finish the process by tormenting him mentally and emotional, telling him all the things they will do to him if he loses. Halan mentally curled into himself, stepping away from the controls...and thus, his pit persona was born.

In the pits, after this "training session", he was a blood thirsty and merciless killer. He would start to chuckle darkly when released from his holding cage, standing in the center of the ring, blood clotting his fur and a mad look in his eyes. The moment the opponent should fear, he would laugh louder, walking toward them in a slow, easy pace. His laughter will grow louder and madder by each step he'd take, eventually dropping onto the pokemon and slowly tear bits off of him to sate his hungry for both gore and food. After eating them alive, he'd drop the body and turn to the crowd, fresh blood on his body and a almost gleeful look of merriment from his recent murder. It was due to this that he soon became famous among the pit fighters and trainers as the mad joker of the pits, the "Laughing Jackal". After the fight, he would be brought back to the storage room with the other pokemon he lived with...and slowly came back to his sense, having no clear memory of what happened during the first few times this happened.

Thought this training was continued, there were times when the haze would lift enough for the real Halan to flicker. One encounter that caused this was when he was pitted against a family of Mightyena. The mother and father were the first to fall, leaving the eldest daughter trying to protect her little Poochyena brother from him. As Halan walked over, chuckling his dark chuckle, he grabbed her by the throat and heard her last words. Her words broke through the haze, but not long enough to spare for from a broken neck. He dropped her body and stood back up, looking down at the pup. With a sense of some clarity, he gave the boy one last message before turning away from the now orphaned pup. Thus started his mission to leave certain pokemon alive in hopes they'd grow stronger and kill the monster he has become.

One day, he was told that he'd be fighting a old friend of his. At first he was sadden to have to see Edward for such a thing, missing his one link to the innocent days when they would just play and try to be normal. He could still remember the day his arm was taken and the way Edward became the very monster he set out to destroy. It was then that he took it as a sign. He prepared himself for the battle, the man that owned him skipping the trainer for a better show of old friends fighting. Upon entering the ring, it looked to be a equal fight, each pokemon getting hits here and there. But to the ones paying real attention, they would notice Halan stalling at times to allow the strikes. Halan, letting himself lose, prepared to finally be put to rest...when the man's daughter jumped into the pit and took the next blow on her back and shoulder. Letting out a pained shriek, Halan turned and looked up at the sight before him. The daughter was hunched over, her back bleeding and shoulder torn, and Edward circling her with that hungry look in his eye. When the cat jumped to attack the human, Halan unleashed a Aura sphere to knock the wind out of him. Back on his feet, he stood between Ed and the girl, watching the cat get back to his feet and hiss at him. When Edward pounced again, Halan was filled with a different sort of power fuelled by his want to protect the girl. He released the attack and watched as Ed flew through the air, collapsing onto the ground. He strolled over to the Cat and leaned down to his ear to give him a few parting words.

After that day, Halan found the daughter tied by the wrists and bloody, her body bruised and battered. She looked to have cried until the tears were gone, his the little light in her eyes dimmer than before. She was alive, but she was almost completely broken by the hand of her own Father for costing him the fight. Halan grew more enraged by human kind, at the same time figuring out how he loved the daughter. He loved her as if she was his own child, and he still cares for her till this day.

In the end, it was through the help of the daughter that he and the other pokemon were able to escape. He travelled with her and the small meowth she kept as a pet in her backpack, only to be separated from one another when they took a small row boat and were caught in a storm. He woke up on a lake shore, the boat and his companions gone. He now looks for them both, while rescuing the pokemon in need.

What he didn't except was running into Edward again. This time with them being on the same side. To this day, he wonders if Ed knew he tried to throw the fight. Knew asking, he never lets on that he wasn't fighting to his all during that fight against his one childhood friend.

Relationships:

-Well, I think it should be obvious but lets let it happen naturally, shall we Stormy?
- Friend/Rival with Ed. Really...they do care for one another.
- Well of course He'd be friends with Shelia.
- More may be added.

Other: Three things. I'd like to have the Daughter show up at some point. Second, I'm not sure how to explain the Crow as. The third. Its good to be back

EDIT: Crow and the bird Guardians

The bird Guardians is a special blood-line of Lucarios, originated in the deserts of Sinnoh since anyone could remember. These Lucarios have "guardians beasts" that live in their souls and minds that aid them in battle and other aspects of life. No one knows how this family of Lucarios were blessed with this power, but a myth passed down from generation to generation of a aura beast that granted two Lucario families with special powers. One was given the Guardians, another was given a special aura stronger than that of ordinary Lucario, then they were separated with one living in the deserts and the other in the snow covered mountains of Mt. Cornet. It is said that if these two bloodlines cross, the Aura beast will be reborn into the pokemon world. No one is sure what would happen, and no one has really asked.

Halan is the first and eldest son of Iris and Shotoshu, each a member from the two bloodlines. He was born with a heightened power of aura, promising to be a great power later on in his life. But he was never taught how to harness it by his father when he was taken from the daycare, thus his full potential will slowly emerge as he goes forward in his life. The bird guardian in his soul however has been with him since birth, sleeping and waiting for the time Halan would need him. During this time, the bird guardian grew more powerful in his soul by devouring the repressed emotions Halan held back, causing him to go slightly insane and a complete "troll" to Halan later in life.

....Crow will appear later on along the way by talking to Halan. So, how does this all sound to you, hun. I may add to it later after talking to the other one that helped come up with this.
