• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

What's ironic or surprising in your Pokemon game?

Eggs can pick up Pokerus before they hatch - if you went into battle with a Pokemon with pokerus in your party it could have spread to one of the eggs. Anyway, when I was EV training my Shiny Magneton, I bumped into a Shiny Seaking!
  3. Mustardear

How many Shiny Pokemon do you have?

I do. :sunglasses: I just completed a chain of Magnemites - I got 13 shinies. I'll probably trade away the 'bad' ones so look out for that in the future. Shiny Magneton looks so cool.

    HG/SS What? Slow Pokemon?

Full Power Water Spout vs. Standard SubPetaya Empoleon - 37% - 43.8% This is without any boosts from items. Therefore, if Octillery can manage to not do minimum damage to on both hits (one on the switch in and one on the next turn when it outspeeds), Empoleon will not be able to set up a...

    HG/SS What? Slow Pokemon?

In my experience with Trick Room teams, they generally have two or three pokemon that set up Trick Room, which are very defensive, and then 2 pokemon to deal heavy damage. At the moment, your team is a bit strange, in that most of the pokemon you're using to deal damage are more commonly used as...

    Trainer Card Score

As far as I'm aware, it serves no purpose whatsoever (apart from maybe comparing with friends or something).

Time to get me some flags! Thanks!

What kind of Poké Balls have you caught things in?

Re: What kind of Poké Balls have you caught things in? When Beldum was introduced, you could only get it as a gift. Maybe Game Freak didn't know that they would make it catchable in the wild and gave it a stupid catch rate.

    Your collections

I sort of collect MtG cards although I haven't played in a while... I also collect leaflets when I'm on holiday and come home with a massive stack of them.

HG/SS Lower Tier Pokemon attempt OU battle.

That's true, I was just commenting on the general lack of reliable walls/bulky pokemon.

    D/P/Pt Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum

More precisely, go back to Victory Road after defeating the Elite Four and Champion. At the end there is a hole that was previously being blocked buy someone. Entering this will lead to another section of Victory Road, which eventually leads to Route 224.

HG/SS Lower Tier Pokemon attempt OU battle.

Hmm. I'd question that, considering how terrible Cacturne's defences are, especially with that EV spread. Anyway, your team looks a bit Scizor-weak. And by a bit I mean a lot. The only thing you have with a Fire-typ move is weak to Steel and Bug, while the only Pokemon on your team that resists...

    Trainer Card Score

No, I mean the Score. It's a number about two thirds of the way down on the front side. Thanks for the info though.

    Trainer Card Score

How exactly is Trainer Card Score calculated? This question's been bugging me for a while now. I was thinking it had something to do with the number of eggs hatched, the number of pokemon caught/defeated etc., which are the categories on the computer thing at the Pokemon League in HG/SS but I'm...

HG/SS Enigma Stone Wifi Event (ends August 27th)

I understand that someone may have mentioned this already and I'm a bit late but I wanted to make a thread so that no one misses this. Available on Wi-fi until August 27th is the Enigma Stone (HeartGold and SoulSilver only) The Enigma Stone is a key item which can be traded with Steven at...

HG/SS I really don't know at this point

If you're using Togekiss for support/stalling then you should include Thunder Wave, which has amazing synergy with Serene Grace boosted Air Slash (60% chance to make opponent flinch, 25% for opponent to be fully paralysed, opponent is almost guaranteed to be slower than you due to paralysis)

D/P/Pt My Crystal League Battle Team

Leftovers would be great as a second option, especially on Vaporeon. As for moves... Lucario learns Dragon Pulse by level - probably more useful than Copycat considering you have Mild nature. Faint Attack will always do an equal or lesser amount of damage than Dragon Claw, unless they made a...
