• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    DNA Database

Why is this necessary? Store the DNA of criminals maybe, but for what other reason would you want to have the DNA signature of every person in the nation?

Calling someone "sister" without being related?

I don't think it's strange at all. The topic of nuns and monks is good to bring up.

    Uhh.....Help?

Also for color codes, I like http://computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm . And I don't recommend using PHP code until you have a PHP supporting server. (: On Webs, which is where most start out, USE SSI PLEASE! It's easier and you don't have to change the file extension. Good luck.

    Banning Books

Yes, of course, the Bible is controversial--but that's not to say it shouldn't be studied. It provides good examples of certain types of stories, such as parables, proverbs, etc. For that matter, the Torah and Koran both apply as equally controversial texts.

Should Spanish be a required course in American schools?

I forgot that other schools were different from mine ^^; One can take just one language at a time in my high school. So in my case "Should we remove classes other than Spanish?" and "Should Spanish be a required subject in American schools?" is the same thing. If I could also take another...

Should Spanish be a required course in American schools?

You realize Mexico is closer to the US than any other Spanish-speaking country, don't you? Thus the reason we assume most solely Spanish speakers are Mexican. For example, I'm sure someone in France, upon recognizing a solely English-speaking person, would assume that they were from England...

Should Spanish be a required course in American schools?

So in this small town in southern Indiana, where everyone in my school speaks English fluently and I've only seen ~20 Mexican individuals around town ever I should be forced to take Spanish? Indiana is closer to Canada, yet my dumbass school system would undoubtedly choose Spanish over French...

    Miscellaneous Mathematics (open thread)

    Re: Just Wondering Actually I think that the solution would be f(4) = 3(64) + 16 + 3 = 192 + 16 + 3 = 211 although I'm not sure. But I mean just to simplify that equation as much as possible. :)

    Miscellaneous Mathematics (open thread)

Just Wondering ^^" This isn't for homework or anything. I just don't remember how to do this and no one is on MSN or anything. f(x) = 3x^3 + 4x + 3 I took Algebra last year and now I'm getting rusty because I'm in Geometry now and we don't do a lot like this. ;)

    Cleaner Sprite Generator?

If they wish to exclude those Pokemon, they can use placeholders for those spaces, too. >_> It is not hackish, it is efficient and makes for easier coding.

If you just want different images for the banners, just say #banner{ background-image: url('backgroundimageurl.gif'); } in each style? O.o Otherwise, there's a styleswitcher at Eevee's HQ [click me] that may be just what you're looking for. :)
