Thanks for All the Fish
so long~ and...
FIELD DAY it has finally happened. Most of you may not know what it is (it's mostly known as sports day but yeah) but it just might've been the best thing ever. And everyone was a bit less ass-holish, which was good.
We were supposed to go on Wednesday but there was rain and stuff, and we had a day off there too, since we didn't bring our school things. T-shirts for the occasion and everything. It was a mile to the other school with a big-ass patio and we pretended we were going out camping or something, a mile changes landscape quite a bit and people were hosing down their sidewalks, so we made those our rivers (there is a certain absurdity in seventh graders imagining Jersey into camping grounds, but quite let me have my fun) until we got there. The land was pretty barren, too.
We started out with volleyball, and we kinda pitifully lost. (See now I know they're adults, but playing teachers? Terribad idea over here. Goddamn it why are you all stronger than normal hng) Our class hung around for a while (and tried climbing the hill on the side, which we got the hang of eventually) until we were called for kickball.
And then we abruptly won a game, 7-4. Man, considering we rarely win anything, that felt nice. Home run? What is that and how did I do it.
Also it involved a friend of mine being very adorable back on the hill. Heh, considering our Pokénerdery, I was not surprised in the least when he asked for my Pokéwalker. It has 4,040 watts, aha :D Then we lost the semifinals but the barbecue more than made up for it.
teal deer; I am aching all over because of sports, something I usually hate, and I've never felt better because of a combination of fun and partners-in-crime being huggable.
Has anyone else gone to these things? I'm probably getting overexcited but ffff I don't go out much lemme alone :c
