• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

The Cipher base was all cold steel and complex machinery--a stark contrast to the general indoor environments present throughout the Soja. Sterile, functional, artificial. A maze of rooms and hallways branched off from the main lobby; it seemed like most of the base was all on the same level. And yet, the group had known, from Seth's intel, that the base contained a second basement floor, accessible from the main elevator.

What would the Wayfarers find down there...?

It was almost nostalgic, in a bitter sort of way. Infiltrating a base, sneaking into a lab to steal organization secrets. It had been a while since Jade had done this, but the instincts were still there.

The elevator ride wasn't long, but the descent dragged on longer than it should have, knowing that a fight was already raging on the floor above. Their whole operation was on a timer. So long as that distraction held, they'd be free to investigate the lower floor. Probably. There were cameras everywhere, after all. No point in trashing them when that'd advertise their presence just as much.

It wasn't like they couldn't hold their own if there was a fight... Jade just really hoped that the majority of Cipher's forces would be busy.

The elevator door opened on yet another metallic corridor. A few doors branched off on either side, but their destination was at the far end. A heavy door with another key card reader.

Was it Jade's imagination, or was it darker down here?

“Everyone ready?” she asked, turning to the others.
