• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

In Progress The Egg Hatcher

ZuZu

Ssh, I'm stealing Blastoise's awesome hats.
The egg wouldn't shift. It didn't shake, or crack, or any of the sort. It just lay there, motionless. I was getting worried at the time I heard something scream inside of the egg. It sounded sorrowful, not painful. I couldn't believe my own ears, or my own heart, for leaving that egg for five minutes to fetch Quilava from the Pokemon Centre.

When I got back, the egg was gone. I shouldn't have left it on its own! I started to search through the tall grass, getting Quilava to shoo off any curious wild Pokemon. There was no sign of the egg, not even a leak of the oily liquid covering the egg.

"NO!" I screamed into the air. Trainers passing by stared at me, as I howled into the air. I felt like there was NOTHING I could do for my egg, or my Pokemon, for that matter. I screamed and kept on screaming, howled and kept on howling.

I felt wild, and that was when another howl joined me. A Houndoom. I continued the mad howling and so did the Houndoom, screaming for attention like mine.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I howled, my lungs beginning to run out of air. More and more Houndoom howled along with me. There was no stopping me from screaming like this, unless my lungs ran out of air.

And soon enough, they did. Dots danced around my vision as I blacked out. The howling continued as I smashed onto the ground, then I lost consciousness. And I didn't even remember.

Chapter 1- The Video
"Ya, it's fake," moaned Snorlax, fixing the ribbon on her head.
"Are you sure? It looks very real!" exclaimed the Chatot, wings flapping.
"Ya, there's nothing of reality in this stupid video.. Someone just grabbed a bucketful of pics and stashed 'em together, ya."
"Hmm. Thank you, Neboriel."
"Ya, you're welcome."
Chatot looked at the video tape as he pushed the eject button. "Hmm," he said, picking it up and examining it. "FAKE" was scribbled all over the title, by Neboriel, the Snorlax. "Neboriel!" shouted Chatot.

"Ya?" asked Neboriel.
"Give it to Croagunk. Get yourself something special!" shouted Chatot, flinging the video at Neboriel. Neboriel took the video and walked across the room, towards the bubbling hot cauldron of Croagunk.

"Croagunk?" Neboriel asked, untying the ribbon from her head.
"Yessssssss, Neboriel?" Croagunk said, emerging from a large violet shadow in the corner.
"Let's get down to your swap shop business," Neboriel declared.
"Yesssssssssss, why don't we?" hissed Croagunk, his forked tongue curling and sending drops of spittle into the air.

"I have this. A priceless video tape," Neboriel said, handing Croagunk the video tape. He examined it, his fingers running across the piece of paper on it. He tore the paper off in one single movement and handed it back to Neboriel.

"Hold it while I talk to thisssssss explorer who sssssssssseemssssssss very interesssssssted in obtaining any ssssssssssort of video tapessssssssssssssss..." Croagunk hissed contentedly.

Neboriel held the video tape and a few minutes later, Croagunk returned.
"Hand me the video tape. That explorer isssssssss excited. Here," muttered Croagunk, taking Neboriel's video and handing her a fossil.

"This... What is this?" Neboriel asked.
"A fossssssssssssil," Croagunk replied, vanishing through his shop's back door again. Neboriel examined the fossil, then immediately thought about the video of the human and the egg. And the screaming. What could it mean?

Interesting, but adding more detail would improve it greatly. Also, too many S's. When adding a hiss try not to add more than 3 unless necessary, or it's hard to read the word.
