Appearance: Very tall for a Pokémon trainer. Overweight, too, though not to the point where it's a serious problem; running tires him out a bit faster than it should at his age, but other than that the extra weight is just a minor annoyance (though it does make it a lot tougher to find a Pokémon that can use Fly for transportation!) Slightly shaggy brown hair that always looks like it needs to be trimmed a little, blue eyes, fairly light skin, and a few zits here and there. Always wears glasses because he can't see much of anything without 'em. Can usually be seen wearing a gray hooded jacket and a pair of baggy shorts, unless the temperature is below freezing, when the shorts are replaced with something a little warmer; if the temperature's over 80 or so, he'll sometimes take the coat off, but he usually keeps it on regardless of the heat because it's easier to just wear it than it is to carry it around.

Viney Jr. is the descendant of a Victreebel family from a distant land, known for their unusual leaves which appear to have a slight reddish sheen to them when viewed from certain angles. This reddish color originally came from the insects they ate, which in turn had fed from the leaves of the tropical plants that are used to make Power Herbs and White Herbs; over many generations, however, the chemicals contained within these plants became a part of the Pokémon's own leaves.

The chemicals that make Power Herbs and White Herbs work exist within Viney's leaves, though normally they are not in a high enough concentration to have any effect. In battle, however, Viney is capable of concentrating these chemicals into a small part of one leaf and then biting a chunk out of that leaf, duplicating the effect of either a Power Herb or a White Herb.
Concentrating the chemicals into one part of a leaf requires a bit of effort, and actually biting off part of the leaf does hurt a bit. Also, because each leaf only contains enough chemicals for a single use, he can only use this move twice per battle.

Vilya has, since her childhood, watched birds, and envied their freedom in the air, their ability to fly to any place that strikes their fancy. When a Xatu on its migration flight came, she asked it how it flied, and how she could fly as well. It could not help her with the flying, but told her it was possible, though that she would have to find her own way.
Knowing that it was possible was possible was half the battle; after many attempts, a workable method was found - using psychic power to lift from the ground. Though she could not ascend very high, concentration would stretch the limits, to a point.
This, practiced many times, became almost effortless for Vilya to maintain, such that she now remain suspended in the air whenever possible. Being out of practice at getting back up, this requires extra energy when this happens, usually because an outside force interferes with the psychic power keeping Vilya afloat.
Effects: Vilya is treated as inherently hovering / consentually flying, with a normal maximum altitude of 6 m (an extra meter for each level that special attack increased, and a meter down for each decrease) and an extra energy cost of 1% per turn for flight but falls to the ground and stays there for a 3 actions when hit by dark-type moves or about 2 meters from a dark-type. She also falls when subject to a powerful (causing >8% damage or so without applying effectiveness) move to which a psychic/flying-type would have a weakness to. Falling from the sky results in (altitude / 2m)% HP damage, rounded down. She also suffers a -1 to speed for these actions as the body adjusts. Returning to the hovering state requires 6% energy.

Nenya had an unusual fondness for the move Natural Gift even in the wild, where she was known in her clan for her myriad uses of the move; but still she was not satisfied with her power.
With the free time that comes with being with a trainer, she has perfected her control of the move, learning to manipulate its form, and to form it as a move her own type.
Finally, she learned to imbue it with the various elemental energies she can control; though she is not fully capable of using any particular type, and tends to briefly imbue herself with the same energy; the wild energies also quite reduce the intrinsic power of the move.
However, her mastery of this power ignores her other intrinsic powers: she can no longer express her Hidden Power meaningfully; nor can she draw on the Secret Power.
Effects: Nenya can project the move Natural Gift in an arbitrary simple shape. This does not have any real effect other than perceptions. Natural Gift is always treated as a 70 base power never-miss attack, regardless of Nenya's signature move; in the action she uses the move, Nenya gains the type of the move as a secondary type, but she does not gain the same-type attack bonus. When sent out, one type of the types of moves Nenya can use, other than dragon (these types being: electric, fighting, fire, ice, normal, poison, psychic, steel, water, and typeless) is selected randomly, and when Nenya uses a move which affects herself as the primary target, she may take -1 to priority and spend 5% additional energy to (not randomly) select a new type which is either weak (not-very-effective or ineffective) or strong (super-effective) against the current type; Natural Gift is considered to be that type for Nenya until rerolled or for the duration of the battle. She is unable to use the moves Hidden Power, Secret Power. (Nature Power or any other move which depends on the state of the user, too, but Dratini doesn't get any.)

Description: Amber is slightly smaller than your average 12 year old. At about 4' 6", she likes to crawl into small spaces and ramble about her day to a wall. Some might call her crazy, yes, but she would rather be called Amber, thank you very much. She has blond hair, and her eye color depends on what she's wearing, which is usually purple. She has vicious mood swings, which Zack knows all too well about. She wears the same glasses that she has worn since 2nd grade, and prides in keeping them from harm for such a long time.

Description: Being the complete opposite of Amber, Zack is extremely tall for his age. At 5' 11", and still growing, he often has trouble finding clothes that will fit him for a longer period than a couple of weeks. As a result, Zack is normally wearing either baggy or too-small clothes. His eyes are a reddish-brown, and he wears mostly black clothes. His hair is a natural bluish-black, and regularly gets asked what kind of dye he uses. Zack, although most of the time cool and collected, sometimes snaps and lunges at the person who is angering him. As a result, he got new glasses every few months, until he found out that there was a flexible metal framed type of glasses, and now only has to buy new lenses.

After meeting his trainer and had been given his nickname, Dominic has been obsessed with medieval times, cultures, and especially weaponry. Swords, battleaxes, maces, he loved them all. Saddened by the fact that he would never be able to wield such a tool (due to the lack of useful hands), Dominic was determined to find a way to get a sword of his own. Looking at himself in a mirror, Dominic decided that his tall upper fin would be the best choice for a weapon he could easily use. Observing non-steel Pokemon that could use steel type moves (Steel Wing, Iron Head, Metal Claw, Iron Tail), Dominic began practicing temporarily turning his fin to a hard, metal-like substance. After weeks of training, he found by directing much of his energy into his fin, it would toughen up and harden. When in this state, it would make a satisfying ‘clang’ sound when it hit rock or metal. Dominic was ecstatic, promptly deciding his fin was as sword like as it was going to get. He now had a new secret weapon at his disposal, and he was sure no one would see it coming.

Steel / Damage: 8% per use of the sword attack /Accuracy 100% / Target: Self / Energy 5%, then 1% per action it is continued, 4% per use of sword attack / Duration: 6 actions max

Effects:
The fin on top of Dominic’s head hardens until it is of metallic properties. This takes one action to do. Once the fin is adequately toughened up, Dominic can then swings his head toward his opponent as hard as he can. The damage is caused when the fin makes contact with the opponent. The fin is also impervious to most forms of physical damage, so he can use it to deflect physical attacks increasing his defense by 1 stage. His fin, and his fin alone takes on the properties of a Steel type Pokemon making it weak against Fire, Fighting, and Ground attacks, and making it strong against Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Steel attacks. Dominic can end this effect early if his so chooses.
