Actually I figured this one out, and it's sort of like that. He's just responding to the social pressures placed on him by the other toys in a desperate attempt to assimilate himself into toy society. After all he's managed to climb the toys' social ladder at a tremendous rate, becoming even more popular than Woody, who's basically the leader of the toys. So he's not about to throw that away just to talk to some humans, is he?

Uhm yes responding to idea right. Well, interesting theory but far less likely than "it actually happened so there" :V Though maybe Phoenix just dreamt all of AJ and GS5 will start with him in court all "actually nah I won't present this page on I go with being a lawyer".

Also, as many people have demanded, Ace Attorney needs an anime or something which would I'd totally watch besides never so much as glancing at any other ones. Even if most of the fun is in the interaction, and that you're tearing the witness to shreds and solving crimes nobody else can and without that it'd be nowhere near as emotional and stuff.
Or yeah Steel Samurai movie. I also want that ringtone even though my phone hasn't bee turned on in years.

There were some points that were fair enough, like "Ema/Gumshoe/Franzy should have been his sidekick". Though I agree Ema should have had a much bigger role than just "ohai I'm Ema Skye hey look footprints bye", Gumshoe and Fran are your sidekick for at least as much of the game as Kay is. And at the end of the day, she's a plot device and without her the game would end with The Kidnapped Turnabout. In fact it wouldn't even get to the end because Amano would be all "guess what I'm a bastard see ya" and there'd be no Little Thief.

Franzy sure likes her some satisfaction.

"Badger, badger, badger, badger.. what does she see in those things?", "I believe the proper term is 'you fail'" and "IN SOVIET RUSSIA, WORLD FLAGS LUNCHBOX EAT J00!".

They are D: Some were so retarded. Like, "yeah cos I'm sure they'd let a kid run around on a crime scene lol". Um... remember Trucy? Maya? Ema? Pearl, for god's sake?
Also stuff like Edgeworth hates criminals and wouldn't go around with someone purporting to be a thief (even though Edgeworth is constantly suspicious of her despite knowing all she plans to steal is the truth) and the way she "stole" Gumshoe's role was childish and mean (uh she was kidding). And that Kay herself was childish. Again, what Ace Attorney assistant isn't?
Whatever, I wuv her and seriously hope the insinuation in the ending that she's never going to turn up again isn't true or I'll be so sad.

If so that makes four in one game by my count. I'm impressed.

(The basis of their argument seemed to be that she was annoying (go away D<), Little Thief was illogical (you think?) and that she's no different from any other Ace Attorney assistant (what the hell, that's the whole point of the assistants. Besides Kay just felt different somehow).)

At some point in Turnabout Airlines, Franzy says to Edgeworth "you know the rules as well as I do". I thought maybe it was a slight rewording of "you know the rules and so do I", and thus a reference to rickrolling.

(And earlier today I came across a thread on some forum full of people not liking Kay. D'X)

I got Kay's hair all wrong because the pink stuff goes all the way up her little hair tower before it comes down again but in her teeny sprites it looks like it's just one little hairband and the rest magically stands up. Dx

I thought the picture of Byrne Faraday hugging Young Kay would be a lot more adorable but then I remembered my drawing sucks.

Also I presented the Promises Book to her while questioning her and it reveals the next two promises, one of which is something like "Promise VI: if I get a boyfriend I will show him to Daddy straight away". Does that mean Kay has to be alone forever now D:

Gumshoe's really sweet in his own way. He's not that bright or useful but he's the nicest guy ever :3

I replayed 5-4 today and the bit where she tells everyone she knows Faraday got murdered nearly made me cry >':
