    It's best to find a spot that's surrounded by rocks and have a pokemon with Suction Cups in the front. When you're chain fishing, the chain does not break when you get a different species of pokemon; it apparently only breaks if you catch a pokemon (or maybe when you encounter a shiny? idk).

    Yeah I'm not gonna start messing around with my cool new 3DS just for the sake of cloning a few 'mons, I don't really see the point in that (plus I'm pretty sure that would void the warranty). :B

    You can also try getting one by chain fishing yourself, it shouldn't be too hard.
    Goldeen are pretty common anyway :P
