• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    Gun Control

Let me rephrase: Has there been a study conducted saying that the 1997 UK gun ban has resulted in lower gun crime rates?

    Gun Control

I think it was two years later. Is there any evidence that it worked in the long run?

    Gun Control

That's not why I referenced it. I referenced it to show that that gun ban caused an increase in gun crime.

    Gun Control

Yes, agreed. But what I'm try to convince you of is that guns have a practical purpose as well. For self-defense. And that banning guns completely, rather than implementing reasonable gun control, is impractical and detrimental. Why has no one brought up the 1997 UK Gan Ban? link tl;dr Gun...

    How do you eat pizza?

D: Shame to he who defiles the name of pizza! Since I'm a vegetarian, I pretty much eat it from tip to crust. If it has toppings, like tomatoes or olives, I eat those simultaneously.

They are basically asked to fill out paperwork proving that they cannot pay, and then the hospital has different programs that will cover the bills so that the individual can still get treated. They can't turn anyone away. No.

    Gun Control

In all strictness, yes. If you could not buy a gun, you could not later accidentally kill someone with it. But, again, banning guns is not the answer. This is a common sense issue. Like any dangerous thing (poison, knives, high places), you must take precautions. With poison, you keep it locked...

Welll, that's pretty socialist. I think it's impractical to say "I'm completely against socialism"; I mean, socialism, on a small scale, is pretty much everywhere. Anything that your tax dollars are used for to benefit the public (police, fire dept., museums, EMTs, etc.) is socialism. What...
