• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Firefox vs IE vs Chrome vs Safari vs Opera

I like Opera as a browser; it's basically everything I wish SeaMonkey was at this point. I don't use it, however, as it's proprietary and "sticks out" more than Firefox (neither are GTK or Qt).

Firefox vs IE vs Chrome vs Safari vs Opera

Firefox has been my go-to for years (amongst other browsers most people here have not heard of for various miscellany.) There is absolutely no reason to use the spyware that is Chrome when Chromium exists, for the others who are so mysteriously enamoured with the thing.

    Pokemon X/Y

Ugh :( Please be untrue. As cool as the Torkoal/Wynaut evolutions seem, do not want female-only Flying Sylveon.

    Pokemon X/Y

If by "lots", you mean "four" (and two of them were branched evos). Throh/Sawk evos seem weird because they're BST 465. Magneton got an evolution, I suppose, but it's not a basic, either.

Windows vs. OS X vs. Linux

Valve is really trying to get the Linux client up to snuff! Granted, it will take a long time for every game to be ported, but hey. Every "official" Win 8 computer does this. I had mine built by a Linux vendor! Having done my fair share of distro-hopping, I am a firm believer the Ubuntu family...

    [B2] EV Training haaaalp

I still suggest saving it for post-game stuff. It is that tedious for ingame. Now, theoretically, you could decide you just want some extra points in a particular stat on a Pokémon. In that case, you could do some effort training, but the gains would be limited in comparison to very controlled...

    [B2] EV Training haaaalp

My advice: don't bother with effort training for an ingame team. Save it for PWT/Battle Subway/WiFi teams. It is not necessary, and far, far more tedious than it is worth because you don't have the conveniences of: a) Access to the whole region, b) Fly, and c) having defeated all of the trainers...

I don't especially like Lucario, especially when Mienshao exists. Lucario does have Extremespeed over Mienshao, which is its claim to fame in OU.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Stationary images are less likely to induce headaches, although large images should still be hidden. No. People have been doing this for awhile now, and it's not the first time a mod has edited a post to hide a .gif. (.gifs in signatures should also very preferably be hidden.)

    What's Your Favorite Pokémon?

Re: What's Your Favorite Pokèmon? That particular test is extremely flawed. Pokémon that it only asks you about once toward the end tend to end up in your favourites simply because you haven't had the chance to replace them with things you like better...

    What's Your Favorite Pokémon?

Re: What's Your Favorite Pokèmon? Ninetales and Vaporeon consistently take top spots for me. Vileplume, Swampert, Mantine, and Crobat are also way up there.

    Daily Pokemon Discussions

Golem had its moment of glory back in gen 1 when more specialised Rocks and Grounds were yet to exist, but even then, it had stiff competition from Rhydon -- which I find to be a far more interesting Pokémon. It's not much to look at, and it's difficult to use. So I guess Golem is pretty down...

It's either 100% female or 12.5% female. The only other theoretically possible combination would be 100% male (barring them pulling another Azurill).

The QUILTBAG Club (formerly the LGBT club)

I'm. Coming out to a significant portion of the student body and community on the 28th. It's Senior Night and senior members of the basketball team and spirit organisations are recognised (and given a short bio). I'm more worried I'd be the only one there without my parents present.
