• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    MINECRAFT

Two stacks of clay is not a lot. With cobblestone, that's all but naught. Two stacks can be spent very quickly. Clay's rare enough to make bricks tricky. In other news, it made me feel awful when I found a project impossible: The sky's too low to build to scale A cathedral that does not fail. I...

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Do you not see I'm still around? You needn't make such awful sounds.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

I found some nice pictures of me, So I made an avatar or three. (I might as well join this group, too- no pony would object, would you?)

    My Little Pony

I went on a pony binge last night. It's the best way to waste a night I've yet to find, and I've found quite a few.

I'm going to Japan in April

Still a neat trip! Where do you think you'll be going, though, if you get any time to sight-see?

    Who remembers who I am?

Oh, hi Nate. Don't hang around here much any more, but I am on IRC. Not that I get to do much of anything but work now't I'm in college, but hey! Good to see you again.

    Ash's Tan

He's been walking around in the sun, training pokemon every day of the year now for how many years? It'd be more surprising if he didn't have a tan.

    Personality Types!

There's what I got, though I'm very suspicious of my Feeling score, since on a number of questions, I felt like both choices applied to me in some sort of way. To act horribly dorky and pull out the color system from Magic: The Gathering, in many ways I'd peg myself as a Red/Blue, hoping for the...

    Abortion

A woman in Saudi Arabia is raped by her husband (who is ten years older than her, by the way). Under Saudi law, she may not drive a car to the pharmacy to get medication. A woman is raped in Somalia. Even with a car to get around, she has a hard time getting around with the civil war going on...

    Occupation?

Most ideally, rather than a career or any sort of a job, I'd like to have a not-quite-immodest source of independent income that I could use to support myself in lieu of doing the same job day after day on a regular schedule. Failing that, I might like to get paid to travel and learn stuff...

What kind of people do you hang out with?

I mostly wind up hanging out with band geeks and the folks from #tcod.

    MINECRAFT

I've found that if you don't let any grass grow and light everywhere properly, walls work quite well at keeping monsters out. Though usually I say "screw monsters" and just make pretty things, and just don't LET Creepers blow them up. Like, there's this one cathedral-castle-monastary type...

    LET'S PLAY VICTORIA: REVOLUTIONS, ANYONE?

I voted for Bavaria just 'cuz of Lederhosen, but it might be neat to see what Portugal could pull off, too.

    DELETE FORUM GAMES ENTIRELY?!

I really don't care one way or the other. On the one hand, a fair number of my posts are in Forum Games, and I've had some good fun with those sorts of threads before, and even if I'm not going to use something, if other people are using it, I usually don't like to get rid of it. On the other...

    Glasses?

I wear glasses. They're a pain to keep cleaned, but otherwise I wouldn't mind so much. Well, there's that, and the fact that I'm practically blind without 'em; that's a pain too. Honestly, I used to like the way I look without my glasses more, but these days, I find that they draw attention away...

    Theism, Religion and Lack thereof

Re: STUPID, BIGOTED EVANGELICAL FATHER! It's not the same location; it's not every very close. Still, it's close enough that one might use this information to support the theory that the Hebrew people were exiled from a "garden of Eden" and forced to find a new land to call home (a recurring...

    French verb forms?

"Aller" is "to go", more accurately. Cognate to the Castilian "Ir", if you've taken any Spanish. If you're taking a class in French, though, I'm sure that you'll be taught the nuances of verbs such as "aller" all in due time.

Scientists say dolphins should be treated as 'non-human persons'

Shouldn't we work on equal rights for gays and such before we get started on chimpanzee and dolphin rights? Just sayin'.

German Teen in Court for Drawing Rabbits on Blackboard

Way too many mixed messages here. I can't tell who was in the wrong. But if the teacher saw a rabbit on her board, ran out crying, and filed a lawsuit? I think it's safe to say that it won't matter whether or not "the accused refrains in future from drawing rabbits on the blackboard and claiming...
