    Think about the poll options, can you actually take that seriously? One thing about me: unless it's in Laughing Cupboard (sometimes), Coughing Cupboard, or Serious Discussion, you really shouldn't take me too seriously. Due to my lack of seriousness I tend to post a lot in Insanity. :P

    Ranks make people feel special. Reality is the only ranks that matter in a forum are "Guest", "Validating", "Member", "Local Moderator", "Global Moderator", and "Admin". This is why I suggested the hide postcount option. Then people who are annoyed by postcount can go about the forums in bliss.
