• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    Question Box

Harvest: if a pokémon with Harvest begins the round immediately eats its berry upon producing it, thus "not be able to produce any more berries for the duration of the battle", and then later gains another berry, will it be able to produce more berries of the new type if it consumes it?

well yeah, I'm saying that without antistab they become usually at least comparable (and SE is more energy-efficient than bashing heads with STAB most of the time). so just removing antistab seems fine.

they're going to be situational obviously but I don't really see anything wrong with "I have SE attacks, but they're all (low-bp) utility moves, not primary attacks, so I'm going to go ahead and FIRE BLAST" or just preferring neutral STAB you don't have SE coverage. granted, the fact that...

I think the problem with SE coverage vs. STAB is largely with by removing anti-STAB, actually. consider the following benchmarks: SE 90 bp coverage (probably 100% accuracy) vs 110 bp STAB (in the land of recoil, drawbacks, and lowered accuracy); SE 110 bp coverage (very common with lowered...

neutral STAB is likely to be comparable or stronger than middling off-type, I mean, though also probably more expensive. yeah it probably isn't such a big deal to stick a few/bunch of thematic mechanically weak extras for creativity purposes. ... huh, is that a change? could have sworn...

"In other news, I badly want to mess around with the moves that Nature Power summons. At least update them into what they summon since like Gen IV, or possibly just assemble of list of reasonable average/slightly above average BP moves for it to summon, or maybe even just chalk more of it up to...

    Question Box

this is apparently under contention but I will offer that when there are lots of items which offer a flat +2% damage, +3% damage for +1% energy with a specific ability doesn't seem that unbalanced you're not forgetting, this was never consistent. I don't think many people used multipliers...
