• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

yo soz didn't message back haven't checked this place in ages, but if you're still interested in Immo, all their albums are good but I personally would recommend either Here In After or Unholy Cult as good starting points, awesome shit.

    UK General Elections 2010

I'll be voting Lib Dem, not that it'll make a jot of difference, I live in one of the most Conservative supporting areas of the country. Worth a go though eh ;)

Liberalism, atheism, male sexual exclusivity linked to IQ

Not really sure what you're trying to say here - that people who label themselves are morons? That people who are open about their beliefs and values are morons? People are morons generally?

    FR/LG Catching Jynx in FireRed?

Ah okay, cheers for your help :)

    FR/LG Catching Jynx in FireRed?

I recently got bored and started a new game of FR, with the intention of using Pokémon I don't use too often in the games to make things more interesting. I'm considering different Pokémon to use for my team atm, and one of the ones I was thinking about was Jynx, as I've literally never used one...

    RAP / HIP-HOP

I haven't heard a huge amount of hip hop but what I do have is good. First hip hop artist I found that I genuinely enjoyed was last year when I found out the drummer of Suffocation had a rap side project called Grimm Real, downloaded some songs for a laugh and found out they were actually really...

On Reputation, or Why No One Should Take Me Seriously At All Ever

Some of the whining that the rep system brought with it last time was utterly hilarious, so I wholeheartedly support any drive to bring it back.

Judas Priest, AC/DC win first Grammys

This. I like Judas Priest and AC/DC, but them winning grammy awards is fairly meaningless to me.

Freedom of religion does not apply to Atheists?

You're very lucky, I've had the misfortune to come into contact with quite a lot of evangelical religious nutters living in the UK. People who genuinely believe in all the creationism, rapture, Satan and Antichrist sort of shit, look up to Ray Comfort, and think Sarah Palin was too liberal...

    Downloading music: is it theft?

Some bands/artists rarely, if ever, play live (like Darkthrone for example) so don't receive income from ticket sales. There are plenty of other bands who do play live but would not be able to afford to go out and tour if people stopped buying their records. Merchandise does bring in good income...

    Sonisphere 2010

I've seen both Megadeth and Metallica, I really enjoyed Megadeth but Metallica were a bit disappointing tbh. Sonisphere this year looks okay but the Bloodstock lineup so far is a bit better IMO. Dezzuu, Megadeth are definitely still popular :P

Wacken should be fantastic, I'd like to go one day. There's a wide enough selection of bands that I'd like a few and the atmosphere must be amazing. I've heard Graspop is good too though I have no idea who's playing this year. I'm thinking about going to the Leeds Deathfest as well this year...

    Downloading music: is it theft?

I think if an artist is on a major label like Sony or whatever then you can get away with downloading it without any ethical issues, the artist probably won't get much money from the sale anyway and taking money from major label record companies is like sticking it to the man, which is always...

I want to go to Bloodstock in August, saving up for my ticket atm. Lineup includes Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Obituary, Gwar, Fear Factory and all sorts of good stuff :P You planning on going anywhere?

Only heard a couple of Grave's albums (Into The Grave and their last one) but both of them were fantastic, need to get more of their stuff. Need to get more old school Swedish stuff generally really, I love Dismember, Entombed and Unleashed but apart from them and Grave I haven't heard a lot of...

    Strangest moment(s) at TCOD?

It might have been that they needed a certain amount of posts to get validated, like 20 or something, which was especially difficult as they only had access to one forum where fuckall interesting discussion was had, so most people just gave up lol.

    Strangest moment(s) at TCOD?

This was quite a while back but I vaguely remember that as a solution to member validation problems at the time, it was set up so new members would only be allowed to post on one board (Newbie Boot Camp? Can't remember the name haha) until they had suitably "proved themselves" as worthwhile...

Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan found dead at 28

Avenged Sevenfold are awful, but it sucks when someone dies, especially if this guy was only young. RIP
