[The Quicker Picker-Upper]

Story:

After years of religious strife in the region of Johto, several members of the often persecuted Holy Order of Arceus have decided to escape by setting sail for new lands. You, along with the other pilgrims, have just arrived on the coast of a distant and mysterious land. With little more than the clothes on your back and the pokémon at your side you must help create a self-sustaining colony. However, the lands you are settling in are harsh, and you may have to fend off attacks from the wild creatures native to this place.

A Description of the Landing Site:

The ship you traveled in has run aground on a narrow white-sanded beach. Beyond the beach lies a vast and grassy plain with a few trees scattered every here and there. There is a distant mountain range beyond the plains. To the north is a crystal-clear river, across which there is a thick coniferous forest.

Rules and Such:

- Feel free to be creative. I myself will contribute artwork to this thread as time goes by, and I encourage you to do the same. You don't have to, of course, but it'd be nice if you did.
- If you play God or derail this story, your character will be killed off.
- Although I will not be directly playing this RPG as a character, keep in mind that I will be setting goals and handling events.
- Anybody can join in at any point in this game.

Name:Matt
Description: Matt is a young trainer, about twelve. He stands 5 feet three inches.

Backstory: Matt was going through Rock tunnel when he met Dokuro. He joined the HOoA and was totally surprised how many people other than him wanted to flee.

[Sovie]

Name: Jack Jackson
Description: 6'4" with dark brown hair. Hazel eyes, a little overweight. Short cut hair. 29 years old. Wears a white t-shirt and gray shorts, and a belt where he keeps his pokeball.
Backstory: He was born in Johto unto impoverished parents, who were forced to give him up for adoption. His step-parents were rich corporate owners of a private art gallery. He was tutored in art by some private teachers and artists employed by the gallery to paint works. It was here, at the age of about 17, where he converted to the Holy Order of Arceus, after much talk with a teacher of his about it. That teacher told him all about the great teachings of the Order. Jack was incredibly intrigued, and began to explore worship of Arceus, and found it rewarding. That teacher also gave him his Smeargle, which he has kept with him as his only pokemon throughout his life. However, at the age of 29, when the persecution of the Order had gotten so high that he feared for his life, so at the first chance he got, he left and sailed for distant shores, to start a new colony.

[Tsunami]

Ray Greene
Gender: Male
Bio: He was a farmer, before joining the clergy. Formerly one of Lord Arceus's priests, he was banned form the order when he was framed for the murder of the Arch Bishop. Fleeing from faulse charges of murder, and their punishment of horrible death, Ray Greene snuck on board the ship to the new world.
Appearance: Rather short and stumpy, Ray Greene has electric blue eyes and black hair. He wears simple linen, and knows much about raising berries and plants for flax.
Profession: Farmer
Pokemon: Tauros
Pokemon appearance: It has a scar covering it's left eye, for some inexplicable reason they don't want to explain to me. Maybe one of you will have better luck.
