Animorph vs. OMGLOLZORS

MurrMurr

And this...is my necktie.

1 vs 1 Single
Style: Set
DQ: One week
Damage Caps: 40%
Banned Moves: OHKOs, direct healing moves
Arena: Goldenrod City (Day)

The hustling, bustling metropolis of Johto, Goldenrod City is possibly the largest, and most technologically advanced city in the region. The large Department Store looms out over all the buildings, providing a useful method of gaining height.

There are many busy people walking about on the streets, and as such, any Pokemon which is smaller than the average human height (ref's discretion, here) and that is at street level (not flying, for example) will have a -1 speed booster. Perhaps the radio tower could be used to power up sound and electric attacks, if the battlers are creative enough?

Every 5 turns the magnet train will come past, and there is a 20% chance a random Pokemon will take 10% damage.

Other -1 speed modifier if below average human height and not flying/levitating
Radio Tower may be used to power up sound-related and electric attacks by up to 1.5 times the power if the Pokemon is specifically told to do so
Every 5 turns the Magnet Train will go past, and there is a 20% chance a random Pokemon will take 10% damage.

And active squads sans bolding etc:

Coinflippy the coin flip wants you to know:
1. Animorph sends out.
2. OMGLOLZORS sends out and attacks.
3. Animorph attacks.
4. I ref.

Good luck to all, and to all a good luck!

I'll send in Mr. Teeny. Start off with a Swords Dance, then a Fury Swipes if Sparky attacks you, or else another Swords Dance, and then finally Flame Wheel.

Swords Dance ~ Swords Dance/Fury Swipes ~ Flame Wheel

Okay then, Sparky, I want you to start this off by Howling...twice. That way, we can match his stats, before going all in for a Spark attack.

BATTLE COMMENCE!
It's very hard to spot a potential battle in Goldenrod City, as merchants slide past, peddling their goods of questionable quality and background. Nonetheless, despite a rather large interval of time in between five steps, Animorph manages to make ends meet, arriving with a dreary sigh as the street traffic bustles around him. OMGLOLZORS is the next to arrive, but the dreary five minutes of standstill for the challengers gets some odd glances thrown Animorph's way. After the two take their places on opposite sides of a crudely drawn chalk rectangle off to the side of the main street (despite still being swamped with traffic), an interested crowd--comprised mostly of younger kids and people laden down with shopping bags from the Dept. Store--has begun to watch. Out of the crowd steps MurrMurr, slightly winded from running from the city's entrance all the way back here in a huff.

The crowd thickens as MurrMurr draws out a clipboard, although plenty of people continue walking straight through the area, turning their nose up at the concept of battling in such a crowded area. MurrMurr empathizes with them as he quickly goes over the active squads and rules with the two battlers, while trying to make eye contact with as few people as possible.

Animorph grins as he plucks a Pokéball from his belt and throws out Sparky, the little electric puppy growling and snarling as it pops ferociously out of its ball. A little girl clutching a Skitty doll screams and runs, but the Electrike is almost immediately near-slammed by a passing woman clutching a handbag. OMGLOLZORS responds by sending out Mr. Teeny, the small monkey Pokémon really looking like his namesake as he nervously peers through the crowd at his opponent. Commands are ordered and the battle kicks up, drawing cheers from those idle enough to watch.

Round 1: Pre-Round
Animorph (Oo)
Electrike
Sparky (M)
-Static
Health: 100%
Energy: 100%
Status: Speed -1. Eager for battle, imagining and wishing he were able to kill both the crowd and the opposing monkey with ease. Not a pressure player, poor little guy.
Commands: Howl~Howl~Spark

OMGLOLZORS (Oo)
Chimchar
Mr. Teeny (M)
-Blaze
Health: 100%
Energy: 100%
Status: Speed -1. Wary of anything, trying to be overly cautious but determined on the inside. Waay on the inside.
Commands: Swords Dance~Swords Dance/Fury Swipes~Flame Wheel

Sparky, although slightly unnerved by the masses, nonetheless tries to look as feral as possible as he raises his voice above the crowd and howls somewhat eerily. Women within a five-foot radius clear the area, muttering something about "mongrel dogs and their filthy owners", but Sparky pays it no mind. He just likes the power he feels from letting loose. Chimchar tries to look playfully evil as he responds to the howl with a complex dance, loosening his muscles. Despite his mobility being slightly limited with people passing by, he nonetheless relaxes a little, and lets the fighting drive overwhelm him, zoning out just enough to put a smile on his face.

Sparky, although slightly unnerved by the masses, nonetheless tries to look as feral as possible...yeah, he releases another Howl, this one causing some parents to go chasing after freaked-out kids as they try to get away from the freaky dog having anger issues in the middle of a street by the railroad. Chimchar tries to look playfully evil as he responds to the howl...yeah, he starts dancing again, with pretty much the same result and nothing too special. Deja vu is a wonderful thing. Deja vu is a wonderful thing.
Sparky: -0H, -1E, +1 Atk><Mr. Teeny: -0H, -2E, +2 Atk>
Sparky dashes towards Mr. Teeny, although slightly less gracefully than he wants (given the proliferation of shoppers crowding the square), his body charged with pent-up static electricity conveniently stored in his leg muscles. He slams into Mr. Teeny with unprecedented force, thanks to the double Howls cheering and powering him up. Mr. Teeny screams and backs off, nearly incinerating a 23-year old promising juggler, who dropped his Pokéballs and ran off. Mr. Teeny snarls back, battle rush getting to his head. He covers himself from head to toe in fire, scaring away all but the most daring of viewers temporarily, and rushes straight at Sparky, never slowing (because the crowd flees in terror). He collides solidly, causing small embers to fly from the point of impact. MurrMurr thanks Arceus that the League had the foresight to send along an Alakazam to put a blanket fireproofing on this portion of the city--otherwise everything except Sparky and Mr. Teeny would be nice and crispy now.

-The magnet train will arrive in 2 actions (assuming, of course, that by five turns you meant five actions. If you meant five rounds, then in four more rounds.)
-Animorph attacks first next round.

Okay, wonderful! Now that everybody is gone, we have a little more room to manuver! We'lll show them "Mongrel Dogs and Filthy owners!" WE"LL SHOW THEM ALL!

Anywho, see if you can channel any energy from the radio tower into a thunderbolt attack. After that, I recommend slowing Mr. Teeny down with a thunderwave, and, following that up, to give you an advantage and keep those pesky shoppers away, use Rain Dance.

Okay, first of all Taunt that filthy mongrel, and then follow up with a Slack Off, and then finish with a Sunny Day. That should do the trick.

Taunt ~ Slack Off ~ Sunny Day

^mmkay.

OMGLOLZORS, is it five rounds or five actions before the magnet train comes? Animorph, you put Thunder Wave in your description but Thundershock in your actual command string, which is it?

EDIT: OK, here goes.

Round 2: Pre-Round
Animorph (Oo)
Electrike
Sparky (M)

Health: 76%
Energy: 94%
Status: Speed -1, Attack +2. Not exactly considering the first round great, but it was damage well given.

Sparky grins as he hears his commands, eager to finally do some major damage to Mr. Teeny. He begins drawing power from the faraway radio antenna. Unfortunately, having little variety of experience, he accidentally begins sapping a bit too much power, causing sound waves to emanate from the radio tower. One foolish child in particular separated from his (first-time shopper) mother and ran away, screaming that the place was haunted. Aside from shocking himself a little, Sparky conserves enough energy to blast Mr. Teeny with a powerful bolt of electricity, and bolt he does. Mr. Teeny screams and writhes in pain, sliding back a few feet, but at least he retains full muscle control. Mr. Teeny, annoyed that he’s already sustained so much damage, begins to jump around and call insults at Sparky, questioning his battle experience, trainer, and various other things that MurrMurr wishes he hadn’t brought along his trainslator for :dead: Needless to say, Sparky (and I would hazard a guess at Animorph as well) are incredibly pissed off, and Sparky is shocked (pun intended) and annoyed well beyond the stage of powering up, instead wanting to focus on utterly annihilating the pathetic little sap right in front of him.
<Sparky: -1H, -5E><Mr. Teeny: -16H, -3E>
Sparky tries to charge electricity in order to paralyze Mr. Teeny, but then he remembers the nasty words that were tossed his way earlier, but manages a feeble spark before stopping the electrical flow, and tries to figure out how to glare at both his trainer (for suggesting this pathetic “slowing him down” tactic) and Mr. Teeny (for scarily obvious reasons). In a similar vein, Mr. Teeny tries to relax, calming his muscles and letting loose a giant yawn in the name of rest and recovery, but it feels as though a mystical veil has descended upon him, and his muscles seize up and he cannot achieve the level of relaxation needed to store health. Mr. Teeny gives up, and MurrMurr nods in an inconspicuous way. Mr. Teeny thinks he sees an extended spoon, but it might just have been a mirage. However, the passagers begin flocking back, and not for the battle. The magnet train, famous for its emergency stabilizer “wings” (installed after the great power outage of ’92), and everyone lines up, although not too close, to avoid excessive thwappage from the wings. Sparky, however, has never been near a train before, and so slides in for a closer look. A wing collides solidly with him, and Mr. Teeny chuckles in a way ill at ease with his name as Sparky goes sailing past. Poor Sparky.
<Sparky: -10H, -1E><Mr. Teeny: -0H, -1E>
Sparky is busy focusing all his attention on intimidating Mr. Teeny. He does recall, as a matter of fact, that he was supposed to make it rain, but that won’t hurt Mr. Teeny, and what doesn’t hurt Mr. Teeny just won’t do, will it? Hence, the glaring. Mr. Teeny responds by doing with what any sane Chimchar would do when confronted with a glaring Electrike that was supposed to make it rain but didn’t: Make it sunny, of course! He rears up his flame and howls, and the clouds present in the sky seem to slide away. The sun kicks up, highlighting Sparky’s scowl. The spectacle is eagerly viewed by the crowd, consisting of people who got off the train, or people who missed their train. The woman that complained about mongrel dogs earlier dashed away without looking and rain into the man that she would later marry (but that’s a story for another time). As the time heads for noon, both trainers continue to plot their next strategies.

Round 2: Post-Round
Animorph (Oo)
Electrike
Sparky (M)
-Static
Health: 65%
Energy: 88%
Status: Speed -1, Attack +2. The crowd is back, Chimchar is alive, and he spent two turns doing nothing. *sigh*
Commands: Thunderbolt~*Taunted*~*Taunted*

OMGLOLZORS (Oo)
Chimchar
Mr. Teeny (M)
-Blaze
Health: 70%
Energy: 83%
Status: Speed -1, Attack +4. Cracking up inside, and struggling to keep it there.
Commands: Taunt~*couldn’t use a banned move*~Sunny Day

Arena and Battle Notes:
-Sparky did 1% damage to himself on the first round because he zapped himself a little.
-Sparky’s Taunt will last two more actions.
-Slack Off in the second action failed because the Alakazam was told that direct healing moves were banned.
-I feel sorry for Sparky. No, really.
-The sun is strong, and will continue as such (unless changed) for 13 more actions.
-OMGLOLZORS attacks first next round.
-Happy new year, and sorry for disappearing off the face of the Internet for a while.

This is OMGLOLZORS' DQ warning, you have 48 hours to post attacks. Otherwise, you will forfeit the match.

OMGLOLZORS is disqualified and forfeits the match. He gets no money, but Mr. Teeny gets 1 exp. He cannot make or accept new challenges until March 8th, 2009. Animorph wins, Sparky gets 1 exp, and he gets $8 for winning. I get $5 for reffing.
