Even though they are being loved and adored by the fanon, Hasbro only gives them the role of background ponies. They are enraged and will stop at nothing to destroy every pony in Equestria.
All the ponies are now dead. Well, most anyway. The ones who are not dead just so happen to be the holders of the Elements of Harmony (The Mane Six), the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Zecora. The two princesses have died, so now it's up to the 10 to stop the background ponies before it is too late...

Mafia
Derpy: Derpy has become canon enough to actually be called Derpy in the show and to have a speaking role. She thought everyone would adore her even more. And some do adore her more...but many others think she is a stereotype of mentally incapable people, and those people want her gone. Her heart has been broken enough by this that she has become corrupted. She is bent on destroying all of those who are canon (Anyone not a backround Pony)
Tl;Dr: She's the Don. Every night, she is able to kill somepony.
Lyra: Lyra used to be so sweet. When Twilight always ignored her, she decided to hang out with Bon Bon, but the feeling of rejection stayed with her, and she became cruel. She'll seem to be the sweetest pony in the world. However, if Bon Bon dies, she'll become enraged and make the one who killed Bon Bon seem like the mafia.
Tl;Dr: She's the Godfather when Bon Bon's alive, meaning she'll be innocent upon inspection. If Bon Bon dies, she will be Mafia upon inspection, but so will Bon Bon's killer (If Bon Bon was lynched, the first one to lynch her will be Bon Bon's killer)
Bon Bon: Screw it, she's too unimportant to have a good backstory. This is what makes her mad. She has the same Power as Lyra.
Tl;Dr: She's the Godfather when Lyra's alive, meaning she'll be innocent upon inspection. If Lyra dies, she will be Mafia upon inspection, but so will Lyra's killer (If Lyra was lynched, the first one to lynch her will be Lyra's killer)
Innocents:
Twilight Sparkle: She is the student of Princess Celestia. However, when the Princess dies at the hands of Derpy and the other background ponies, she decides to take action. Using her intellect, she is able to gather information about a pony every night.
Tl;Dr: She's the inspector
Pinkie Pie: Pinkie is too...random. She always says a random thing, making somepony completely distracted and not able to complete their goal for the night.
Tl;Dr: She's the roleblocker. Every night, she chooses somepony. she will talk so much they will become distracted and the pony cannot complete their role action
Rainbow Dash: She's one of the toughest ponies around. She is known to be a bit stubborn and boastful, but she will always be loyal to her friends. This is why she'll be able to kill somepony for the greater good.
Tl;Dr: She's the vig.
Fluttershy: She is very, and I mean very, shy. She doesn't like to get in the action, so when targeted, she will run away.
Tl;Dr: She's bulletproof. She cannot be affected by any night actions.
Applejack: She is able to buck apple trees for apples. Every night, she creates Apple Cider, which heals a pony. If a pony drinks Apple Cider while wearing Magic Clothe, they die.
Tl;Dr: Healer. Beware of Healer clashes!
Rarity: Rarity doesn't like to be in the action, though during the night, she makes a piece of clothing with magic that can protect a pony for one night. If a pony wears a piece of Magic Clothe while drinking Apple Cider, they die.

Third Party
Cutie Mark Crusaders (Consists of three ponies): Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle are the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They each have their own powers though it is not know to anyone else other than the three. They win if they live throughout the end.
Tl;Dr: A closed Mason group with unknown powers.
Zecora: She has been secluded in the Everfree Forest, so no one knows her powers. She wins by unknown reasons.
Tl;Dr: Mystery power.
