2 vs. 2 single (can be negotiated)
DQ: 1 Week
Damage Cap: 35%
Banned Moves: All but Metronome.
Arena: Goldenrod City
Skyscrapers and radio towers abound in the hustle-and-bustle of Goldenrod's city streets, blotting out the sun and yet trapping heat in a paradoxical manner. Wingull harass passerby, people don't look at you as you pass them, and the most garish music blares from every punk's Team Rocket-styled Pokétch, and chatter issues from each and every businessman speaking into a headset.
Time to burn it all to the smoking, charred ground.
The battle begins on a dour-way intersection, cordoned off to the public. Of course, a few of those that haven't realized that this is an infamous Asber Metronome Battle have infiltrated the weak security measures, which are basically some yellow 'CAUTION' tape and a few randomly-placed orange cones.
Water mains and sewers under the streets will burst to provide for the battle's antics, and similar things will happen to ensure the maximum in destruction.
Additional Rules: All Pokémon have infinite energy. Also, the referee may at any time teleport the battlers and themselves to a different place in the city, say, the top of the Department store or something.

Round 19
Being paranoid as he is, the ref decides sticking around on the roof of a burning building isn’t the brightest idea and teleports the battlers away. They reappear on a beam high above the town’s caved-in main road – on top of the Magnet Train’s track. The train itself is currently not here, instead off in Saffron or something, and chances are that the train won’t be allowed into the city, considering the current situation.
The battlers admire the flames currently traveling down the Department Store for a moment, then turn their attention back to each other. Codegrah is the first to react, her Metronome triggering with an eerie purple light. Daremyth, blinded by that light, doesn’t notice Codegrah as she runs up to her, until she licks her cheek. The Igglybuff swats her opponent away irritably, more disgusted than anything as a result of the attack. In response, her own Metronome begins tearing scraps of metal from the track the battlers are currently standing on. The metal fragments bend to Daremyth’s will, forming a nearly identical round shape, tiny feet and all. Daremyth puts a still-glowing hand on her finished work, which then lights up as well as she infuses some of her own life force into the metal mass.
Codegrah is not amused, and whips up another Metronome. The glow turns a bright green, and lashes out to surround Daremyth, whose Substitute steps in to take the hit. The glow surrounds the steely mass, and drains the very life force that Daremyth had given it, the green orbs that detach from the aura floating back to Codegrah, granting her the smallest bit of health. Meanwhile, the real Igglybuff activated her own Metronome. She makes a sincere wish, this time wanting to please her trainer and wishing for utter destruction. Codegrah takes to notice, though she is a bit concerned that her opponent hadn’t bothered to react to her assault.
She simply shrugs as she conjures another Metronome. Out of the white light comes a thick, wet mist that proceeds to surround Codegrah. The mist simply lingers around her, doing nothing else of note besides getting her wet. Daremyth responds with a Metronome of her own, her own white glow taking over her own body. She has a strong sudden urge to swallow, and she does so, though she gains nothing from the act other than a sorry reminder of the poison deep in her body.
Just as the round comes to a close, a bright light appears in the sky. The battlers look up just in time to see thousands of pure silver beams of light strike down around them. The bright light is more than just pretty, as demonstrated by the large holes they produce in the roof of the gym. The lights also rain down on the rest of the city, demolishing the already deteriorating Department Store, causing it to crumble to the ground, and even the remains of the Radio Tower and the Game Corner. The Global Trade Station is no more safe than anywhere else, as it is torn apart by further silvery light. The battlers as well are no exception, and more steely light rains down over them. Codegrah is relentlessly thrown around by the lights, and even the tracks are cracked with huge chunks breaking off. Daremyth is curiously missed at every opportunity as the lights approach her, seeming to turn ever so slightly at the last minute.
