• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

It's feeding time

"Upon retrospect, I wonder if this was such a good idea after all." Kain Emender told himself as he walked through the forest, guided by the light of his lantern. There were trees everywhere. He didn't like trees unless they were chopped up and burning in the fireplace, it goes without saying he was displeased.

The lake was somewhere to the Northwest of the village, a bit of information that would have been useless to him were it not for the peculiar orange star that burned in the sky. Some said the creators of the Land placed the star there to help them keep track of the directions when they were shaping the world. No matter where one would stand the star was always to the North of ones current position.

Upon retrospect, Kain remembered that he hadn't been the only one talking about weird dreams. He had overheard a couple of others speaking of it as well. Maybe they were also searching for the island right now, maybe they were not. It didn't really matter, thought Kain as he stepped on another dry branch, the sound of wood breaking echoing loudly through the forest.

As there was movement and light passing by her as she collected wood for the small camp fire she was about to attempt to make, Maggy decided to follow it. She heard a twig snap, so she knew whatever it was had legs, so she followed about 4 or 5 meters behind this light, staying out of ,what seemed to be its sight, as much as possible.

I hope it's a monster. I'd love to kill it! the blonde girl thought as she excitedly sneakingly chased the light source.

Hmm... Those dreams... Maggy remembered those dreams about a running animal. It had wings, but thin. It had legs, but also thin. It ran like lightning, making the 16 year old girl's heart pound with excitement. She's tried running with it, but it's much too fast for her to catch up with, even with her amazing speed- for a human, at least.

Maybe it's a Griffin, She thinks as she tries to still stay silent. but, the legs are too short to be those of a lion's... Oh, well, maybe this monster I'll be able to keep up with. She thinks as her mind gets back on track.
