Chinese food, a shiny and money well spent!

Yesterday was a good day. I went into town with my family for my contact lens checking appointment at Boots, and it was fine. I decided to try on some designer glasses while I was bored, because I was thinking about possibly buying some. Sure, I don't really need a new pair of glasses seeing as I only wear them once a week - when no-one can see me - but I really don't like my current glasses much and wanted some snazzy designer ones that actually look decent. I've never had a pair of designer glasses before. So I tried a load on and found a few pairs I really liked, and figured my parents would be more open to paying some of the money for me seeing as my brother had also decided to get some new glasses.

So my parents paid some of the money and I paid fifty pounds, but because the pair I chose were over a certain amount in price, I got fifty pounds off due to some scheme we're on or something. I swear, Boots opticians must love our family. Anyway. As well as this really nice pair of glasses, I got another pair free! So I got an awesome black pair of glasses and also a fantastic purple pair. I'm excited about geting them even though I'll hardly ever be wearing them - I like my contacts. x3 The glasses are the kind I like a lot and have never owned - thick-framed ones.

Moving on to the evening - we - me and my family - went to a seriously wonderful Chinese restaurant we've been to several times before to celebrate Mother's Day a day early seeing as the restaurant would most likely not be open then. The food was amazing. I love Chinese. o__o So much. And the decorations in the restaurant are gorgeous.

Then as if my day hadn't been great enough, I was playing Diamond at about twenty past one am or something because I wasn't totally tired then and I felt like it. So I was planting berries, and I was walking through some grass above Solaceon Town near a patch of soil, when I encountered a wild Pokémon. I was a little drowsy, so I was kinda like, huh, it's a wild Pokémon. Then I saw that it was a Ponyta. And then I noticed that it was blue. "Oh look, it's blue. Hang on... it's blue! o__O" So I caught it with a Quick Ball. It's my first non-chained shiny, and only my second shiny in total, so I'm really happy with it. I'm not sure what I'll call him, but I'll most likely give him a name, train him and evolve him at some point - maybe enter some Super Contests with him. It's awesome, because I really like Ponyta. :D
