Deleting an "access denied" folder

Not sure if this would go here, but it's the best place I can think for it to go.

There's a folder on my computer called Adobe that I'm trying to get rid of; I think it was placed there automatically by a program that transfers pictures from my camera to my computer. But I don't want the folder anymore; I found a different way to transfer the pictures and the files in the folder are in a different one now. I've tried to delete this folder, but when I do, I get the following error:

I've exited out of the Adobe Download program, so I can't think what else would be using this folder. Does anyone have any idea how I can delete this folder? I'm guessing it has to do with the "write-protected", but I don't know what that means.

Is this inside your Program Files folder? :\

The process for it must be running; at least that's usually the case. Whenever a program wants to use a file, there is a case where you can't delete the file because Windows sets a type of "lock" on it that prevents it being deleted unless the process that uses the file is stopped, AFAIK. You can attempt to stop the process that runs it with the Task Manager, under the 'Processes' tab. Try finding any Adobe processes running, then 'End Process' and try deleting the folder. If that does not work, you can reference to an article I found that gives steps on diagnosing the problem:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/tips/howto-delete-xp.html

By the way, I personally haven't tested this.

No, it's in My Pictures which is a subfolder of My Documents.

I didn't find anything in the Processes with the name Adobe. I'll try restarting my computer and deleting it, but if that doesn't work I guess I'll just deal with it; I don't really want to use a program to force it to delete. Maybe there's a way to remove the folder through the Adobe program, or maybe I could uninstall Adobe. It's not like I use it. =/

Thanks, Faltzer. ^^

Edit: Restarting worked. =D Now hopefully it doesn't come back. xD;
