I can't decide what to put on this guy..

dusknoir@Leftovers/Iron Ball
Ability: Pressure // Nature: Calm
EV: 252 HP, 252 S.Def, 6 Speed.
~ Pain Split
~ Will-O-Wisp
~ Shadow Sneak
~ Focus Punch/Sucker Punch/Gravity/Trick

Ok, so this guy is on a team with Spikes+Stealth Rock; a Roarer; and Wish-support.

I was thinking about Trick+Iron Ball to make a Levitate/Flying pokemon be affected by spikes, it would also slow down one of their pokemon, and probably give me leftovers (which I planned on having anyway). Gravity accomplishes something similar, it just requires no prediction and won't slow down a pokemon.

Focus punch would be good because.. well from what I've noticed, people expect you to "Pain Split" when you throw in dusknoir on low Health, but i'm questioning whether or not they would do this with all the spikes and shit on the field. In which case, sucker punch might be the go.

So I have no idea what to put in that last moveslot. (I'm leaning towards gravity, but then I keep considering using trick). Does anyone think gravity would be good for a heavy spike team w/ Wish-support?

Why are you considering Gravity on a Pokemon without low-accuracy moves? Isn't part of the point of using Gravity that it lowers evasion by two levels?

I think Gravity'd work well with spikes and wish-support, but shove it on a Clefable or something else that can use it properly. Jirachi? Pretty sure Jirachi's allowed in OU. Doesn't look like Jirachi can do too much with it, though. So Clefable or Blissey so then you get your Wish support and you have something that can use Fire Blast or Thunder or something like that to take advantage of Gravity instead of just saying HIYA COME HIT ME.

I didn't actually realize that, thanks for pointing it out. - It would make Will-O-Wisp 100% Accuracy (whereas I normally miss something chronic that move).

I have a muk, so I could Replace Poison Jab w/ Gunk Shot and give gravity a test. I might do that, then I can check how many levitate/flyers I encounter.

Doesn't Gravity only last for either three or five turns, though? I still think using a funky Gravity + Wish Clefable or Blissey or even Jirachi (though it gets depressingly little to use with it) might be much more effective; you still can hit flying and levitating things and you also get an element of surprise because afaik people don't really do that. Gravity justs gets ignored in general, which is kind of sad since it's pretty good.

Muk's pretty embarrassing either way, though. 100% accuracy base 120 off 105 attack and stab looks pretty, but it's the only thing a Muk can really do, even with Gravity. What else does it get? Mud Bomb? Rock Slide? Elemental punches? That's a bit sad. :(

I'd be losing rapid-spin immunity, but I could get Heal Bell (which begs to give muk and forretress rest). Currently, my Forretress has Light Screen. Muk has 105 HP 100 S.Def, if lightscreen is active, I doubt any Special attack would leave a mark in it, including Super effective ones. Muk has: "Curse/Fire Punch/Shadow Sneak/Gunk Shot", atm.

Yeah, I think Light Screen + Gravity are both 5-turn moves; I figured all I needed to do was set up a system to keep my team healthy, while trying to force the opponent to switch pokemon. I think I can accomplish that with a good assortment of tanks, and I should be able to switch back to the pokemon using gravity/LS on the 5th turn of the rotation.

Anyway, i'll give it a test run and let you know just how sad Muk does. ,xP
