I think it'd be cool if he was more into battling, like ash is, and became like a rival. At the same time, though his theme about catching pokemon in general was unique and different. still, yeah, catching pokemon and not bonding with them while you're at it probably isn't the way to go.

I haven't really watched the new series yet; mostly read some spoilage.

I can't wait till it airs on Disney XD, though but, if it takes FOREVER, i might start watching some eps online ahead of time....hahaha
