Tenebrae breathed a huge sigh – he was in no mood to flirt. Instead, he wanted to do nothing more than curl in a tight ball and bury his nose in his paws, but the referee’s hard glare told him he wouldn’t be doing that until he fainted from exhaustion. The Eevee sighed again, then started spewing compliments like a fountain of praise: you must be so diligent, Sandy, to be able to fight when you’re literally dropping from exhaustion and pain (not that she had a choice); your skin is so beautiful, so smooth and shiny (my fur coat would beat yours any day). Tenebrae never thought that Sandy would buy it, and so he barely managed to roll his eyes in exasperation when the antlion Pokemon smiled coyly and fluttered her eyelashes.

After half a minute of grinning and blinking, which had little effect on the scoffing Tenebrae, Sandy mentally scrolled through her commands. Flail… she didn’t want to hurt the Eevee too much, but hey, it was hardly fair if one of the pair was much stronger than the other, right? She promised herself that she’d hold back so Tenebrae wouldn’t get the wrong message, but she underestimated her wounds and corresponding desperateness. The antlion’s limbs packed a surprising amount of strength considering her physical condition, and Tenebrae couldn’t help but let out a pained squeak with every blow. By the time Sandy calmed down and backed away, the Tenebrae was sporting many new bruises that pounded rhythmically and painfully. He glared at Sandy, who flinched and scuttled back a few more steps, ashamed at what she had done.

Instead of striking back at the Trapinch, though, Tenebrae suddenly opened his mouth wide and yawned loudly. Sandy looked up, slightly started, but suddenly felt a wave of sluggishness wash over her. Tenebrae’s fatigue was infectious, and the Trapinch felt an urge to yawn along with him. It didn’t help that she was already dead tired as it was. In fact, she was so exhausted that she couldn’t find the drive to attack; instead she settled with staring shyly at Tenebrae. The Eevee gave the slightest of snorts.

With a small whine, the unnatural winds whipping through the arena ceased to blow. Tenebrae gave a grateful huff; he had had just about enough of debris flying into his wounds and eyes.

Abruptly, Tenebrae froze and half-closed his eyes. He wasn’t feeling too happy, but he wasn’t feeling terrible, either... Sandy was getting on his nerves a bit, sure, but overall he was pretty certain the battle was his. In the end, he shrugged and focused on the negative thoughts in his mind, letting the energy from the thoughts flow into his paws. He gave a howl that rent the air around him and pounced on the half-asleep Sandy’s back, biting and scratching in a pessimistic rage. The Trapinch squeaked and squealed indignantly as new wounds were opened in her skin, and pain as well as a healthy dose of indignation surged through her. What was wrong with Tenebrae? Surely he could see that she couldn’t last much longer. Maybe he was one of those abusive boyfriends. Sandy shuddered.

After a brief mental debate, though, Sandy found it within herself to forgive Tenebrae – just this once. If he tried anything like that again, she’d retaliate, oh yes she would. Unfortunately, it seemed that the antlion would not be able to throttle Tenebrae should he hit her again, because at that moment drowsiness won over, and Sandy’s eyes slipped shut. Moments later, a loud snore escaped from her throat.

Final notes
Xaldin attacks first next round.
I had attraction start of weaker, due to both Sandy’s and Tenebrae’s exhaustion. Also, Tenebrae did give Sandy a rather bad thrashing in the previous rounds.
Nevertheless, Sandy was attracted on the 2nd and 3rd actions.
Sandy fell asleep at the end of the 3rd action.

Tenebrae, use a Quick Attack and Take Down combo aagain. If I am right, you still have four energy. So after that, just do nothing and hope she has fainted.

Quick Attack+Take Down~Nothing

Sleep Talk if you're asleep, Rock Smash if you're awake.

Under normal circumstances, Tenebrae would be incredibly reluctant to use such a powerful combo attack when he was so exhausted, but his trainer’s words spurred him on. Surely Sandy wouldn’t be able to stand this last attack. The Eevee backed away a few steps on shaky legs to give himself space to build up speed, then lunged forward. The movement was so sudden and quick that to the naked eye he was nothing but a blur shrouded by a thin white glow. In his exhaustion and desperation, however, Tenebrae overshot his target and missed by about a foot. He let out a piercing wail as his paws scrabbled for a grip on the wet platform, but his claws found no purchase and his speed wasn’t helping him much, either. In another moment the cat-like Pokemon fell ungracefully into the pool.

Sandy remained blissfully unaware of these developments and slumbered on. It was only when Tenebrae managed to clamber back onto the platform, dripping wet and nearly blacking out from exhaustion, when she started to stagger to her feet and murmur ominously. Tenebrae was too tired to even care, and collapsed onto the cold material under his feet. Fortunately for him, Sandy merely feinted a strike that went right between Tenebrae’s rabbit-like ears, then wavered uncertainly before crumpling onto the platform again.

A minute passed by, with Tenebrae hovering on the line between wakefulness and unconsciousness, and Sandy in nearly the same state. Then, the antlion rose to her feet again, mumbled a few words, and then collapsed once more. This time, she seemed limper than before, her breathing more shallow. Exhaustion, which had so nearly been Tenebrae’s demise, had done Sandy in.

Final notes
Tenebrae’s combo missed, and he sustained minor damage from it.
He also expended 1% energy to get back on the platform. So close; 1% more and he would’ve fainted.
Sandy’s Sleep Talk produced Feint.
Sandy was too tired to use Sleep Talk properly, and fainted on the 2nd action.

Alright, good game, people! Sorry about my constant lateness OTL Anyway, the winner is Xaldin, and he gets $16. Grass King gets $6, and I get $10 for reffing. Tenebrae and Lumen both get 2 EXP, while Sandy and Spooky get 1 each.
