I'd appreciate it if you linked gifs with descriptions, but posting some inline is fine, too. Still, linking's nicer for those of us who can't tolerate fast animations. If it's flashing or it moves very quickly, link it and say so.

Not really? Animated gifs don't tend to be that much bigger than non-animated images.
