• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

I like Pokémon and old forums.

Hey, so I stumbled upon your forums and thought they looked interesting. I'm about 35 years old, and have a tendency to spend a lot of time on forums even to this day, mostly because they were very popular when I was younger and I never adjusted to most normal forms of social media.

The polite way you encouraged joining, as well as the feeling of worldbuilding combined with a lot of original content on the main page that I can tell seems like a personal project built over many years with a lot of bespoke pieces, ultimately convinced me to join. I really appreciate unique expressions of being a fan of something like Pokémon.

The pronouns question was admittedly a bit tough for me... you see, my usual strategy on forums dating back to 2007 or 2006 was to use a somewhat androgynous username and then go along with whatever gender most people thought I was in that community. If they read me as a boy, I wouldn't complain, but if they thought I was a girl, I found that I didn't want to correct them and liked how I was seen better. But ultimately, I figured... well, if they're going to ask point-blank, and no one on here knows who I am in real life, why not ask to be called she/her on here?

Anyway, I'm kind of a nerd. I tried to get a degree in Computer Science once, but ultimately didn't enjoy Calculus. I've been obsessed with Pokémon since the Generation 1 games, and always enjoyed reading fanfiction, seeing fan art, and generally watching talk about Pokémon and be inspired by it.

Hey! Glad to have you! Thanks for your kind words. There's not a lot of activity here these days, but it's always nice to see new people who appreciate forums.
