Minnow
If you're gonna dig, dig to the heavens!
Okay, I've been working on these roles for a bit and I think that they'll work and will be balanced. I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition.
If something looks obviously stupid to you please point it out and we'll change it before the game starts. Anyway, let the games begin...
...so foul and fair a day I have not seen.
Macbeth Mafia
The King
-The King can choose one person to execute each day.
-The King may also, as a night action, choose another person to become King. If that person dies during the night then the King remains King and it is not announced that they intended to promote the dead person.
-If the King dies, there is a vote to determine the new King. The person with the highest number of individual votes (not necessarily the majority) wins the election. This lasts an entire day and no executions happen that day.
-Duncan begins the game as king.
Mafia: Wins if it becomes impossible for Macbeth to die.
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
-Can talk with each other at night.
-Lady Macbeth sends in the killing action, but Macbeth does the deed. (She appears innocent. He appears mafia)
-If Macbeth becomes King, from then on (even if he loses kingship) he sends in the night killing actions and does the deed. (He appears mafia) Lady Macbeth will appear crazy (random innocent or mafia)
-If one dies, the other can begin to kill once per night. They will appear as mafia.
-If Macbeth is targeted for execution during the day, he will fight back, kill the King, and become King.
Innocent:Wins if Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are killed.
Duncan
-Begins the game as king. No other special powers.
Malcolm and Donalbain
-Brothers. Can talk to each other at night.
Macduff
-If Lady Macduff is killed, Macduff becomes vengeful and gains the ability to attack once during the day. If he hits Macbeth, Macbeth is killed. If he hits anyone else then they are killed but Macduff commits suicide in grief.
Lady Macduff
-Can investigate once per night and discover the alignment of their target.
Third-Party: Individual win conditions.
Banquo
-Knows who Macbeth is.
-Wins if he survives until the end.
