These days, you could find just about anything downtown.
The southern part of Frontier Town had the longest uninterrupted stretch of thoroughfare in the settlement, and on each side of its broad pathway were numerous shops, venues and businesses of all kinds. Some of these enterprises indicated their trade with signs displaying products or symbols, while others adopted the more colourful advertising style of modelling their awnings or other parts of the building to resemble the species of the proprietor. A sort of raised boardwalk was held in common on each side, leaving plenty of space for wagons, carriages and very large pokémon to pass through without trouble. Space was not at a premium, here.
The west side of the street was by convention given over to common retail – the general store, the grocery and greengrocer's, the tailor's, the butcher, and so on. The east side, meanwhile, had less everyday professional services such as the local barber-surgeon, a pharmacist, the local undertaker's, a very small jeweller's that shared space with a tattooist specialising in rock- and steel-type patrons, and even a modest legal firm.
Many of these businesses proudly declared that they were established in various years, in faded paint. Others were slick new builds, a testament to the continued economic growth of the town. Perhaps a day would come soon enough when this would become the commercial heart of Frontier City.
