Exo-Raikou
It's over. I'm sorry, but it's over.
((This is the Metroid RPG I said I'd make))

As She watched, the being born of Phazon was suspended in the air, and let out one final scream before disintegrating into tiny particles which fell upon the ground like some demonic rain. The Hunter suddenly felt a shift in her body, and soon realized that she no longer felt the corruption grow inside of her. With that in mind, and seeing the planet collapsing around her, she ran for her ship.
Two Hundred years have passed since the Battle over Phaaze, where the Galactic Federation massed an attack against the Space Pirates guarding the source of all Phazon. However, that attack was merely used to buy time so famed Bounty Hunter Samus Aran could get onto the planet and find some way to destroy it. It worked, and Phaaze was destroyed, taking all the Phazon down with it.
But it wasn't over yet. Prior to the destruction, a being constructed of Pue Phazon called Dark Samus corrupted three other Hunters, who were known as Rundas, Ghor, and Gandrayda. When Samus faced off against Rundas, he ended up taking his own life, and unwittingly would allow the Phazon to rise again.
The Story
Fifty years after the Battle, the smallest particles of what was once Phaaze, and therefore part Phazon, began to feel something, something that they had never felt before: A Strong Will. The particles began to drift together again, absorbing as much matter as they could, and subsequently turning it into Phazon. This took approximately One Hundred Fifty years, but when it had finsihed, Phaaze had become new again, and with a difference: It was completely sentient.
This was all caused by RUndas taking his own life. Because the Hunter had the strength to willingly end his exstence, when Dark Samus absorbed him upon his death, the Phazon being also took in Rundas' Strong Will. Fifty years after the destruction of Phaaze, the ruins of the planet were reawakened by this, and reformed.
It didn't take long for the Federation to realize that the planet had returned when a ship light years away detected what the Commander called "Unnatural energy spikes". The Federation dispatched five Bounty Hunters to the planet, hoping to destroy it once and for all.
None have returned.
Quickly realizing their msitake, the Federation took a new path: they began to create a weapon that could counter Phazon's Corrupting power. This Weapon, knwon as the "Anti-Phazon Beam", has become common for many of the Bounty Hunters of the Galaxy, even those not affliated with the Federation.
Something had to be done about the Corruption, and the Federation knew that they would have no other choice but to do what they'd done before: Dispatch Bounty Hunters to Phaaze, and destroy the Phazon, this time for good.
Little to they realize how difficult this will be...
Species of the Galaxies.
Each of these species is a possible option for your character. The options are as follows:
Human: Of all the species, humans are the most resistant to the Phazon's corrutption. They are not as powerful as most other species, although they are more technologically adept.
Vhozon: Native to the Planet Vho, the Vhozon are highly intelligent, and also have a strong belief in justice. They are Resistent to low temperatures, and are also capable of transforming into the Vhoscythe, a state where they tuck in their arms and legs tightly so that they now move like a spinning top. During this form, they can form a long blade as a means of defence. Their preferred weapon is any kind of Ice attack
Phrygisian: These beings are similar to the Vhozon; they prefer using ice attacks, but they can actually control it to an extent, and are more resistant to cold. However, they cannot transform into anything like the Vhozon can.
Kriken: A ferocious race, the Kriken live for conquest. They have a camoflouge ability, but this only takes effect whiel they stand still. Like the Vhozon, they can transform into something; in this case, it is a small insectile creature call Triskellion, which also has the camoflouge ability
Space Pirate: These beings have been a constant thorn in the side of the Federation. They are skilled in handling various forms of weaponry and technology.
Weapons
First off, we'll take a look at the "Default Weapons" of the Hunters that were sent to Phaaze after the Anti Phazon Beam was made:
Power Beam: This is a basic weapon that fires energy at the target. It can be charged up so that the beam becomes more powerful. It has unlimited ammo
Anti-Phazon Beam: This Weapon is used to counter the Phazon's corruption. If a corrupted being is hit by seven shots in a row, they will be purged of Phazon. The catch is, the Weapon only has that many shots for it, then it msut be recharged. A variation of the A.P.B. was injected into the Hunters that carry this Beam so that the environment of Phaaze will not affect them; however, they can still be affected by a certain other weapon
Now here are the "Default Weapons" for the Hunters who journeyed to Phaaze and never returned:
Hyper Beam: A Phazon-Enhanced Beam; the Hyper Beam fires bolts of Superpowered energy. When charged, it fires three blasts simultaneously at high speed. Like the
Phazon Corruption Beam: The reverse of the A.P.B, this weapon can be used to corrupt anyone. Like the A.B.P. it takes seven shots in a row to corrupt them. The Beam does have seven shots, unless the user is in contact with a pool of Phazon, in whcih case it has double that.
And, last but not least, let's look at the "Weapons of Choice":
Ice Beam: As the name implies, this beam shoots supercold energy wich will temporarily freeze an enemy on contact. Beings who are "het-based" are vulnerable to it
Plasma Beam: Where the Ice Beam is based on cold, the Plasma Beam shoots off superheated energy; capable of severly damaging "cold-absed" enemies.
Wave Beam: This Beam will shoot "waves" of electricity; if one can properly lock on to an enemy, the Wave Beam will gain a slight homing feature
Battlehammer: this weapon shoots off energy that arcs and can be quite nasty when it hits. What it lacks in range, it makes up for in firing speed
Missile Launcher: This weapon fires, as the name implies, missiles. These missiles are pretty powerful, and the Hunters that are Corrupted would have faster, more powerful, missiles. However, the Hunters that aren't corrupted and use missiles gain a homing feature.
The Sides
The Corrupted: The Five Hunters sent to Phaaze and never reutrned have become corrupted. While they gain more power, they are less sane than most beings, and are beant on protecting the Phazon.
The Purge: The Five Hunters sent after the A.B.P. was developed; they are called this because it is their job to Purge the Phazon from the Galaxy
