• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Exactly What It Says On The Tin: just a quick, generic-Mafia-flavored game because I've done mostly big, semi-complicated games before and want a change of pace and because I want something to pass the time while I plot out my next big complicated game.

  • no aliens
  • maximum 10 players, 2 of which will be Mafia (one Mafia kill per night)
  • one cop
  • one doctor
  • no other special roles
  • 24 hours per phase (or maybe a little longer if I'm busy)
  • if you don't speak during the day, you get one warning, then the second time, you're dead
  • if you don't turn in a night action, likewise
  • if you have a night action, you MUST use it
  • during the day, you MUST lynch someone - if there are no lynch votes, the player who has not posted in the longest amount of time will automatically die
  • no out-of-thread communication except between the Mafia
I'm hoping this fills up in the next day or two because most of my games have regularly gotten about 15ish players the first two days and taken a week to get any more.

We'll aim to start the evening of the 25th (Central US Time), but we may even start tomorrow evening if 10 players have signed up by then.

Are there two Mafia, a cop, a doctor, and six vanilla innocents, then?

(Also, I'm guessing no out-of-thread communication?)

Yes, unless by some wild terrible happenstance we get fewer than 10 people signed up by Tuesday evening, in which case it's two Mafia, a cop, a doctor, and five or four or however many slots are left.

No out-of-thread communication with the exception of the two Mafia, who can communicate with each other.
