• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Novelux Realgar Springs

"Unfortunate," Mhynt said, "but understandable." She nodded thoughtfully. "What we're looking for are alternative routes that a certain troublemaker must have found. But we have other venues we can try."

She glanced skyward. "I do need to go to that soon. Every hour wasted is an hour gained by the enemy." She nodded at the others. "I trust you'll be able to handle things from here? I need to leave for the Quarry."

Koa ignored the brief surge of shame at the comment about reckless, bit back a reflex to say some comment he probably shouldn't about the situation Seir had gotten himself into, and focused on their mission. That was what was more important now. Mhynt was right he spposed, they couldn't afford to stand around forever chatting. Still...

Seir had said he'd refused to take them to Terminal One. Not that he couldn't. "Did they think you could get them to Terminal One? Do you know of a way there through Tyrrier?"

Gladion nodded politely. “Sier. Nice to meet you.”

He tilted his head, inquisitive. Too many people asking about Terminal One all at once might be unpleasant for Sier after what he just went through, but it was also important to ask. “Don’t want you feel pressed into anything, but getting their members to Terminal One on our terms is, ultimately, how we get rid of their group. It would be helpful.”

"Yeah, we got them," Leaf said, nodding to Mhynt. Great to finally get this out of the way, but there really was more brewing on the horizon, wasn't there.

She moved to help Seir gather any of his stuff that the clowns might've lifted when they attacked him. "Did you ever hear them talk about what they were planning to do? At Terminal One, or anywhere else?"

Archie scratched at his whiskers, humming in thought. It seemed odd that Miror B. and his gang wouldn’t know the way back to Terminal One already, surely they would’ve had that information from their colleagues and superiors already? Had they been knocking over caravans all this time in the hope of gathering the supplies to get them there? Had they disrupted Cipher’s operations to such an extent that even its Administrators were being forced to go without support for the mother organization? Or, was it that Nascour simply didn’t care to respond? After all, they’d captured both the scientific minds behind the Shadow Pokemon project with no sign of a response.

“Something’s not adding up about all this,” he said, more to himself than to everyone else. He turned his gaze to Mhynt, “Be careful. Part of me is starting to worry that we’re going to reach Terminal One only to find a trap.”

The he turned back to Sier, “Do you need an escort back to your lodgings? Not to sound callous, but I want to get these five on the move before that Spritzee thinks to come back.”

Seir shook his head at both Koa and Gladion. "I would have only been able to take them as far as the northern Tyrrian border," he clarified. "I only know that Terminal One is in a place called the Wight Barrens because I overheard these simpletons discuss their potential routes. I expect that they only wanted me to take them so they could take advantage of my supplies rather than not knowing where to go." He didn't appear to be shaken or uncomfortable on the topic rather he spoke idly, like he was discussing the morning paper.

To Leaf, he added, "Largely complaints about his peers and their actions at a 'Terminal Two' and something about resigning from whatever organisation that he is apart of." Resignation? Did Miror B. and his gang no longer wish to associate with Cipher? Although now that they thought about it, it was a bit odd that the five had collectively referred to themselves as 'Team Miror' instead of 'Team Cipher'.

Then, prompted by Mhynt's comment, he looked up at the brightening skies. If the Wayfarers looked closely, they could see a tiny frown pull at the corners of Seir's mouth. "Yes, I would also prefer to leave before the day grows bright. There isn't much time before I have to depart for Tyrrier and I intend to spend it doing what I came to Novelux for in the first place." Seir accepted Archie's offer with a nod but then turned to look at the tents, focusing on the largest of the three.

"But before we leave," he said, "that is where they keep their stolen valuables and supplies, you may as well help yourselves to them – I doubt they can be returned to their original owners and it would be a shame to waste them. The red silk is mine; if you're able to find it, you may keep it. On you, I think it would suit the best," he said to Koa who would get the strong impression that Seir intended it to be a memento for this battle. "It's the least I can do for saving me."

"Thank you," said Mhynt with a nod. "Perhaps some of those ill-gotten gains can be put to good use by us. Though, perhaps if we find anything that appears sentimental, we could... find a way to return it." She sighed. "A shame. I think Owen lost that power," she murmured the last part mostly to herself.

"Resigning?" Koa tipped his head. Were Miror and his goons trying to defect. Whatever. Didn't absolve them of what they'd done. And by the sound of it, they didn't have a huge say in what happened to them anyway.

He dipped his head in acknowledgement to Seir. "Thank you," he said, trying not to sound awkward. He wasn't sure why Seir wanted him to have a memento, but it felt rude to turn him away. "Good luck with your trip to Novelux."

"We'll make sure there's nothing important and get going." He cast a sidelong glance at Mhynt before heading for the tents. It didn't seem like Seir knew much. Just an unfortunate victim of circumstance.

"Yeah, I guess." Felt kinda weird to be rummaging through stuff that belonged to other people; surely at least a little of it had to be traceable somehow. But there'd be time for that later. And if any of it did turn out to be useful, then, welp, they'd probably need it before later... "Thanks. Get back safe, all right?"

As she telekinetically pulled another tent flap back, she glanced over her shoulder one last time, wondering if the murkrow were still flocking nearby.

"I wish you the best of luck then, Wayfarers," Seir said, his eyes gleaming. With one final, polite bow, he flicked his head at Archie, gesturing to him to follow and limped away. The murkrow remained for a while longer, watching as the Wayfarers went through the supplies in the large tent before finally scattering. Amongst the numerous items and equipment, it was impossible to miss the red silk that Seir had spoken of as the fine scarf sparkled in the morning light, it must have been worth a fortune.

Not even a few minutes later Bellatrix, the 'scary zoroark' who Gigi had mentioned, emerged from the forest with two extra lawmon, one being the hawlucha from the initial investigation, to help further with the arrests of Team Miror. Moments later, the murkrow scattered seeming to realise that nothing of much importance was going to happen.

Yet just before everyone abandoned the campsite, the Wayfarers would notice something odd...

The sensation of being watched vanished and, with its absence, the Wayfarers would now just realise that something had been poking at and whispering to their minds the entire time.
