Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii

I don't much like the look of New Super Mario Bros. I mean they seem to be milking it out a bit; the oribinal was really popular so they made a new one on DS and now a remake of the remake on the Wii :/
I don't exactly like 2D games on that kind of console.

I could say I don't like the look of Galaxy 2, since it looks to me like the original with Yoshi and more items but I won't complain. I'll probably end up getting it and I wanted a sequel anyway.

Well yeah, Super Mario Bros. looks fun as hell, but what can you expect, it's Mario. It's almost basically the same thing. Still awesome lookin though.

I sill haven' even played the first Mario Galaxy.

So... You don't like games like this on your consoles?

Milking's about all you can expect though. It's what happens when a game or series gets massively popular. Even obscure games like Disgaea are guilty of it. Disgaea didn't need 2 sequels, or even that PSP port.

@Erif, don't expect too much out of Galaxy if you played 64 or Sunshine. Nintendo's a certified practitioner of the "If it ain't broke... Then don't fix it!" policy, and that's all that really needs to be said (Though I'm surprised they're doing Metroid a little differently. It's to be expected of a collab I suppose...)

Well those don't exactly work well in 3D anyway, not that I've seen. These kind of games do have better graphics... I guess what annoys me most if how it's pactically NSMB DS just on the Wii. I do see the grapics improved a little, but I don't see the point. They could just make it on the DS, really. I don't see much skill in the sidescrolling games like this, which is why it's better with handhelds. Games where you fight like that usually demand constant button smashing that I prefer on the console. It's just... I don't like relaxed Wii games like this.

The constant button mashing that would get you owned in a normal fighting game? KOF doesn't allow for button mashing =P If you do, you'll find yourself continuing faster than you can say "I win"

Really the only explanation for New! getting ported/remade for the Wii is due to popular demand. Plus, It's definitely gotta be more difficult than frickin' Animal Crossing. There are only 4 "Hard" Wii games that I know of right now, and those are, RE Umbrella Chronicles, No More Heroes, MadWorld, and Castlevania Judgment. The Wii currently isn't the console to go to for difficult games.

I don't get what you mean by 'relaxed Wii games like this' though... Practically every Wii game I've played is 'relaxed' because everyone's too busy emphasizing the "All Ages" demographic of the console. Now if you're expecting something like MadWorld every time a Wii game comes out, as awesome as that would be, this isn't the correct console at the moment.

I suggest you be patient though, and wait for RE Darkside, Odin Sph-- err, I mean Muramasa, and Arc Rise Fantasia to come out later this year though. If Muramasa's as hard as Odin Sphere, I'm sure it'll be difficult. Arc Rise Fantasia will be sure to deliver what you desire, since it's supposed to have that Old School RPG difficulty to it. RE's a given, but don't expect to spend more than a day beating all the scenarios...
