• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Obstinea Mountains Swiftwater Library

Ralsen's expression lit up at Silver's words. "Interesting! Well, I'd certainly never turn down the offer. And who knows, perhaps the trip will prove to be useful to your group's efforts as well," he said, gesturing to the Wayfarers present.

Laura gave a thin smile as she overheard Silver's remark about cameras. Her colleagues at the Gazette had old-timey cameras, as did the photography studio in town, but had they brought one? Of course not...

"I'd be up for taking a jaunt into this dungeon," she said, trying to force a can-do attitude. Dungeons gave everyone the creeps in practice at the best of times, but still. She was here on Forlas to get stuck in and help people, right? "Would you recommend trying to retrieve the books, copy down their contents, or just commit key information to memory...?"

She thought of Betel's anchorpoint at Silver Ravine, and pawed her chin.

"We may have another option, but I'll have to check..."

Perhaps Betel could help out, somehow. She'd ask them later.

“Maybe we could skim a few books and write down anything we find interesting?” suggested Silver, his head tilting in thought. “I dunno how much time we’ll have inside that dungeon before things get messy and whatnot, so we’d better try to gather as much info as we can in the shortest possible time.”

The now-Sneasel glanced quickly at Lyle and gave him a confident nod, hopeful that the Cyndaquil would lend them a hand if he so wished, before trading gazed with the others.

“In any case, we’d better focus on getting all the supplies and tools we’ll need for some dungeon delving, and once we’re ready we can head straight to those caverns.” He clenched his claws and smirked, already getting pumped with excitement. “Let’s do it!”

Huh, so even in this world, Lyle was getting stuck with going through books in a library. Not that it sounded like a bad thing when they could take it for granted they at least wouldn't be hounded by angry guards in the interim.

It briefly occurred to him that he'd been spacing out a bit when he saw Silver looking at him as he blinked, before shaking sense back into his head.

"Huh? Yeah, I can help out with looking over those books."

Ralsen put his palms together. "As it happens, I do have one advantage that the monks likely don't have access to," he said, leaning down to fish something out of his travel bag. It looked rather like a small, boxy suitcase with a hole in one side...

"I was fortunate enough that the university was willing to lend me a camera for my studies," the Grovyle said, holding up the novel device to the Wayfarers. "I've taken quite a few shots over the past month, so I only have so many left, but this should serve well if we find anything of note."

Ralsen replaced the device in his bag and shouldered it. "We'll need a good supply of berries, plenty of lantern oil..." He continued muttering like that even as he walked out of the library. It seemed like he would probably be focused on that until the group set out.
