• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

Dot rushed after her.

"If you want to know your old body's name, it's Wakko." Dot said, in her masculine voice, "This...su...stinks!"

Raiquen rolled his eyes, but followed Dot shortly after. Yakko started spinning in circles before realizing most everyone had left and followed.

Kirita groaned at this 'Wakko" person in her body.
"C'mere you. The sooner we're ou' of this, the better." she muttered, grabbing him by the arm and lifting him over her shoulders - a feat that, in this tiny body, Kirita was surprised she could pull off. She then proceeded to follow the others.
Meanwhile, Wakko attempted to protest, to no avail due to the injuries.
"'Ey, wot's the big idea...?" he asked with a feeble attempt to kick himself free.

"Ok guys, look to see if you can find a ladder." Sephii said, in the quick-talking, high-pitched voice.

"I'ma lookin." Yakko muttered, searching the dirt.
"What's this?" Raiquen thought aloud, poking an indentation in the wall. Almost immediately, a ladder crashed down, nearly hitting Rai.
"Well that was easy."

"No kiddin'." Kirita muttered, setting Wakko down, "But i'munna need a li'l help with 'im." she pointed at the again-sleeping body.

"Yakko." Raiquen pointed to Kirita. "Help. You're Sephii and I'm puny." With that, he scuttled up the ladder as Yakko jumped down to help.

Kirita left Yakko to grab his brother while Kirita skittered up the stairs.
"Hope 'e can get 'im up 'ere." she massaged her throat, "I 'ate this accent..."

As Kirita managed the last of the steps up, she peered down the hole at the other two.
"'Urry up, will ya?" she then took a glance at Rai-um...Dot.
"Wot're you lookin' at then?" she looked up and spotted the star, "Oh, just a star, 'ey? Woteva'." with that, she wandered over to the hole again to make sure they weren't hurting her body even more.

Yakko climbed up the ladder with one hand, the exhaustion showing on his face. Twice, he almost lost his grip on the body, and three times did he almost lose his grip on the bars. Soon enough, however, Yakko reached the top and sighed.
"Whoever's body this is, I would like to say that they are heavy!" He groaned.

Kirita gave him a look of disgust, walked up to him and smacked him one in the face.
"I'll thank you never t'say that again..."

Kirita, after making sure her body was OK (much to Wakko's painful protest), glanced at Dot again.
"I see. Certainly is pretty..." she mumbled, glancing up at the sky where the star was.

"Sephii, that's brilliant." Kirita muttered, glancing at Rai's old body and licking her lips anxiously. The sooner they were out of this, the better.
"Only one li'l problem. 'Ow d' we work it?"

"Just wish." Sephii said, "I wish we were back in our own bodies.'

A flash a blue light blinded them. When Sephii regained vision, she squealed.

"I'm back!" she said, "I'm me!"

Kirita, after blinking a few times from the light, struggled to get up again.
"Nyeh... I'm me again, that's for sure... Wait a minute... my wounds... my shirt..." she bent around to glance at the bloody bandages before peeling them off slightly to check under them. Sure enough, the light had healed her injuries to the point where they would not cause her further bother. And her shirt was intact again.
"Heh, added bonus. And I can talk again!!"

Raiquen lost all feeling in his body as the light flashed, then he nearly toppled over from disorientation. Blinking, he glanced down and saw the familiar black clothes he wore.
"Ah. Much better. Although I feel like I'm about to fall over..." He muttered. "Maybe it's because I'm tall again."
Meanwhile, Yakko looked around, then down at his body.
"Finally! I was getting tired of that other body..."
