Fwee! My tablet came today. I'm going to have to get adjusted to it, but it seems to be worth the $64 dollars I dished out for it. Drawing feels slightly unnatural, as it doesn't have the same feel as pen or pencil on paper, but I'll adjust to it.

For the record, I have never posted any drawings here because I can't draw much outside of a cute, pink puffball called Kirby. That, and I don't have a DA account. I do have an art account at a Kirby fansite, but that is unrelated.
 
I got one at your age, hoping i'd improve but I didn't practice enough, so I never got anywhere. Make sure you practice a lot. ,x3
 
Yay. I have bamboo as well. Also, it does indeed take a while to get used to. I had a graphire 4 for almost three years before it broke, and it was a... huge change.

Hooray for bamboos (I got a table like four years ago and it broke so I just now got one of these)
 
Well, I figured out the "eraser" end was easier to draw with than the "pencil" end, so that helped a little. Once I download GIMP on this computer I will be able to draw better pictures than I could in Paint.
 
Congrats, I have a tablet on my birthday list, a cheap 70$ model from target, but I hope I get it...
