• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Now that I think about it it's the first book to end on a cliffhanger. The other three pretty much wrapped everything up by the end and started the next book with something else. :o

ALSO Runningnose the Eevee is in the ASb daycare, in three experience points' time he will evolve and I can give him an epic Warriors-related sig modification~
    Yes, it does. OTL;;

On another note I managed to breed myself a Jolly Taillow with perfect attack and speed, and /possibly/ (I'm crossing my fingers here) perfect defense~
Well, the opponent managed to pass a Belly Drum to their Azumarill, and then proceeded to gut my Qwilfish with some physical move or other, resulting in Poison Point being activated. As it was, my only check to that Azumarill was my Tangrowth, since it had Sleep Powder. Because it was poisoned, though, I couldn't put it to sleep, and then it proceeded to gut the rest of my team.
It's all good~ I'm breeding myself a Taillow right now, actually. And I'm not fond of Stone Edge's accuracy either, but :/ Such is the way of Pokemon.

    I guess not.

Megahorn, Close Combat, Stone Edge, and er... Night Slash? I guess? At least, that's what Smogon recommended.

By the way (I just felt a need to say this), I just lost a match because of my Qwilfish's /Poison Point/, of all things.
Provided... you can supply me a Gible OTL;; I can't find my Diamond or Platinum, and I'm really not thrilled with the prospect of sticking 98 objects in the Safari Zone.
Dragon Dance, Outrage, Stone Edge, and Earthquake, perhaps? You could stick Fire Fang or Fire Blast on it if you really want fire, but a +1 LO Adamant Earthquake has a small chance of OHKOing Foretress and will always OHKO Scizor.
I dunno, when I used Salamence I always got owned by ice attacks until I gave it a Yache berry OTL;; But back when I used Salamence, Garchomp was uber while Salamence was not, so eh, I didn't really have much of a choice.

Well, a Band on a DD Pokemon is a big no, so I think keeping the Band on Lucario is your best option.

Mm... I've read that Heracross works kind of like Scarftran, and it's also fighting-type, so maybe you could replace Lucario with a Scarf Heracross? Since it won't have Band, though, you'll probably be missing a lot of power, even though Heracross has better base Attack than Lucario. :/
Right, I forgot about Electric. Well, maybe you could try Garchomp instead of Salamence? That immunity could come in handy, I think, not to mention Garchomp has just about as much speed and attack as Salamence has. You'll be missing Fire Blast, though - how often did you use it, by the way?
I ran a few calculations, and before a DD, Adamant, 252 EVs Garchomp will always OHKO Froslass. And I don't think there's much Jolteon or Electrode can do against Garchomp. Problem is outspeeding it - maybe instead of a DDchomp, you could stick a Scarf on it, I don't know.

Right, I forgot that it had a Band. Well, without LO, Agility Lucario just isn't that great... The best item I can think of is Expert Belt.

When it comes to speedy things, though, you might want to consider sticking a revenge killer on your team. Maybe Scarfed Heatran, though Heatran's availability is kinda meh (it does get Explosion, though, which will probably come in handy).
Hmm, well, do the faster Pokemon tend to OHKO you? If they don't, then hitting them with one attack first and then nailing them with the priority attack would be fine (I'm not really expecting Extremespeed to OHKO, anyway), but if they do OHKO, then that's a bit of a problem.

I'd be willing to breed a DD Bagon, actually, if you can provide me a male Seadra or whatever it is that passes on DD. But since Bagon is a pain to hatch, I think I can only manage one perfect IV - attack, I guess, since with a speed boost you won't really be noticing the speed loss.

Starmie can Thunder Wave, but yeah, you'll be missing that extra attack power the Specs give you, and since you can't stick a Life Orb on it, I don't think Starmie should change.

On another note, maybe you could try Agility on Lucario? I don't think you see a lot of priority moves in the Battle Tower, and after Agility you'll be outspeeding everything so I don't think you'd have to bother with Extremespeed.
Legendaries? ...kinda unfair that they have legendaries while you can't use them. :x

Well... Maybe you could try a Pokemon with strong priority moves? Scizor comes to mind; Weavile, perhaps. On the other hand, you could try Baton Passing some speed to an insanely powerful Pokemon that could practically OHKO everything (Marowak, perhaps), but it'll fast get annoying to set up every single battle, I guess. Maybe you really do need Dragon Dance on Salamence.

On the other hand, maybe you could carry Thunder Wave on a Pokemon, just in case one of those fast bastards come in? btw is Azelf allowed in the Battle Tower? Because that thing is extremely fast, can Thunder Wave, and is a great attacker, too.
