    Well, when I say "deep" I mean as a paddling pool is to a teaspoon, but yeah. Ultimately though the villain will be one of those awesome ones who's not objectively a bad person.

    Actually it gets a lot deeper than that later on. Plus I like the character of the main villain I made up, since he's not just all "I AM GOING TO DESTROY THE WORLD BECAUSE I'M EVIL AND THAT'S IT ANY QUESTIONS NO GOOD".
    Though the story does seem a lot like FF5's in places, to my mind.

    They should totally go on an epic quest to bring him back to life and halfway through it just go "oh fuck it" and use a Phoenix Down.

    That sounds fabulous and I must play it one day :o Mine's pretty crap so far. The story is basically "OH NO THERE ARE THESE CRYSTALS AND BAD PEOPLE WANT TO SCREW AROUND WITH THEM BUT THERE ARE EIGHT AND THEY'RE CALLED STONES INSTEAD THAT TOTALLY MAKES IT ORIGINAL RIGHT".
