• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Cats /are/ racist.

The majority of the fandom agrees with the racist point of view though, which saddens me greatly.

No they don't like collars with bells. I don't think I would either, they're loud and noisy. :<
Cats getting hated for being outsiders is a common theme. You'd do well to remember that. (It makes me sad. :<)
Unfortunately no. But they spawned a fanfic that does so they're awesome by default.
    Uh.

    I know. :'(

(I've read like a hundred pages of the first book...!)
The series isn't only about battles though, there's actually a fair few books without any fighting in them. :/
Your second sentence took a few times reading it to understand it >|

Most of the fanbase is located in America. There aren't a lot of fans in the UK even though the authors live there. Dannichu says she's never seen the series before and she works at a library. :/

    (that looks awesome. 8DDDD)
also I should note: the Clan names are spelled with capital C's. Spell them with lowercase and you'll piss me off. You might be thinking "why would I spell them with a lowercase C" but you'd be surprised, about 85% of the fandom makes that mistake and it always makes be go "THERE'S A CLAN NAME REPEATED EVERY OTHER PAGE HOW DO YOU DO THAT".

Also the cat names, unlike the Clan names, are spelled with one capital letter: the first one. StarKits Prophcy is very incorrect in this regard. Again, you might be thinking "why would I make that mistake? there's a cat name repeated every other page!" but again you'd be surprised. About 5% of the fandom makes that mistake - which, granted, isn't a large amount, but that 5% still exists.

    And that's terrible.

(also let me know if you liked the first book :3 I mean books about feral cats aren't everyone's thing and also the series is marketed for 7-12 year olds. But it has themes that kids that young wouldn't /get/ and thus is traditionally enjoyed by older teenagers and young adults. :P)
