It's a staff that casts a random effect every time you wave it at someone. Also it turns crazy old hobo women into rabbits.
All the ones I ever remember seeing required the battlers to actually know Metronome to compete. Hey ho.
Though I remember having an idea in the midst of a game of Skyrim for an arena wherein each battler is given a Wabbajack which takes on the effects of Metronome.
Well they'd be /open/ I guess, but still impossible to pry open completely, if you get what I'm saying?
Caterpies aren't that good with Metronome.
imo Beedrill, Butterfree et al should be treated as highish-rarity non-evolving Pokémon in ASB. Because really who's going to actually bother using them in their unevolved forms outside Baby Bug Ball Brawls

I don't think I really want eternal Bug Bite spam to be long-term, in all honesty.
Let's just save this whole deal for Big Baby Bug Ball Brawl.
They can probably mangle themselves up enough to have workable limbs (but still be impossible to open)
