Basic Rules/Game Information:
- Game starts on 26 May, 02:00 UTC
- 72 hour days and 48 hour nights
- Phase changes at 02:00 UTC
- Factions are Ideas (Town) and Mental Blocks (Mafia).
- Flavor is alignment indicative, but can be claimed - mafia will be given fake flavor claims that do not overlap with town flavor.
- Roles can be claimed at your own risk.
- Mafia will have a factional kill every night and it will be mandatory.
- Non-bastard, closed setup
- What does non-bastard mean?
- The host (me) will not lie to you in communications - public or otherwise.If I tell you you are town, you are town. If I tell you X player is mafia (via some kind of alignment peek), they are mafia. If Y player dies and I say they are town, they are town. And so on.
- I may, however, make deliberately vague statements.
- There is no conversion. Your wincon remains constant for the whole game.
- No deadchat/revival mechanics. Once you're dead, you're dead.
- The host (me) will not lie to you in communications - public or otherwise.If I tell you you are town, you are town. If I tell you X player is mafia (via some kind of alignment peek), they are mafia. If Y player dies and I say they are town, they are town. And so on.
- Closed setup?
- Full role list will not be public until game ends.
- Vanilla roles (town or mafia with no actions) may or may not exist in this game.
- Unorthodox roles (i.e. uncommon roles, roles with weird actions, or more complex roles than cop/doctor/etc.) will likely exist in this game, but I make no promises.
- Roles with alternate wincons will not exist - no third party wincons - but lost wolves may or may not exist.
- What does non-bastard mean?
- Don't copy/paste or screenshot from private host communications (role PMs, private mechanics questions to the host, etc.). Paraphrasing is allowed.
- Don't talk about the game in public/out of thread communication unless allowed by the host (mafia chat, any potential neighbor chats, etc.).
Voting Guidelines:
- To vote, just put Vote: Player in bold (or something similar, I can figure it out as long as it's in bold and makes your intention to vote clear).
- Voting for No Elimination (or Sleep, same thing) is allowed.
- Majority and Plurality are both on.
- Majority - if any player (including No Elimination/Sleep) at any point gets to more than half the votes, they are immediately eliminated(hammered) and day ends.
- IMPORTANT: if a player is hammered, please stop posting. I can't promise I'll be around immediately to freeze the game/end the day, due to having strange time zone/scheduling conflicts.
- Plurality - the player with the most votes at the end of the day will die. Simple stuff.
- Ties mean the eliminated player is randomized among all tied players.
- Majority - if any player (including No Elimination/Sleep) at any point gets to more than half the votes, they are immediately eliminated(hammered) and day ends.
- CYLO (eliminate or lose, kill correctly or lose, etc.) will be announced, at which point votes will be locked upon placement (i.e. the first vote you cast that day may not be changed).
- This occurs when the number of mafia equals the number of town minus 1 (3-2, 2-1, etc.).
- MYLO (miseliminate or lose, miskill and lose, etc.) will not be announced and votes will not be locked.
- As in mafia are at the number of town minus 2 (4-2, 3-1, etc.).
Host note - 02:00 UTC is 10 am for me so end of phase may be delayed by <1hr on occasion. I'll really try to not have this happen, but I'm only human.
Please stop posting past 02:00 UTC if day has ended, and if night has ended but I haven't posted the daystart message, please don't start posting yet.
