• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • uggglughlub I stayed up too late getting the reffing mostly done because I figured that was more important... I'll try to command by eleven.
To clarify, a mere stage of attraction lasts two rounds rather than the whole status? So it could conceivably last a whole five-round battle?
Do you bother increasing the likelihood something will succeed if it's not directly harming the object of attraction?
SO before I embarrass myself further, do you actually give a substantial boost to verbally trying to convince the pokemon "that what it's being asked to do will improve its image in the eyes of the pokémon it's attracted to"?
hahaha I lied about Vivillon being the only rental I didn't like, idk how I didn't realize Bunnelby was there. Giving me Bunnelby actually would have been hilarious though. I'd have to avoid losing at all costs.
Out of curiosity, were the rental Pokémon selected at random or were they picked to be balanced? I haven't looked at any of the others yet, but Espurr vs. Spritzee seems pretty balanced.
About how quickly do you have attraction drop from being attacked by the attractor?

Also cough since this is gonna have to be an attract-off apparently, it's obviously most appropriate to do commands on Valentine's day, but the thing is I have an exam this week :V so as much as I'd like to do commands now, I can also game things so that, if I hold off posting until I'm almost DQ'd, then I'll probably actually be able to wait until after my exam to post for the second round. But to avoid such shenanigans, can I just get a stay on the DQ for posting commands first on the second round of the battle, so that it's Thursday (or later) regardless of when you and I post?
After pondering all these various patterns, this weird butterfly thing isn't so bad. Maybe I could even find it cute.
Only the loser can keep the pokemon when it's the winner and their rental who worked so hard for a victory together...!? I approve of this cruelty.

Though I think "one rental pokemon, no choice in which gets sent out" is different from what most people expected and that wasn't explained as the first round's gimmick in your first post. Gimmicks for battles should really be explained before they start in general, and that'd be in the first post for the tournament for the first round, and for later rounds it'll be as soon as those rounds are announced as happening. (And if in later rounds people are using their own teams so they have to prepare for it, obviously the full battle details have to be explained at least a few days prior so teams and such can be prepared.)
maaaan I got literally the one Kalos Pokémon on that list that I don't like haha
