    The one I'm doing in the exam, yes, is about beavers. Singing beavers.

    Well, it's just like... a trait of something. For example a visual code could be bright colours or fluffy characters, a sonic code would be the type of music or sound, or what the characters are saying, and so on.

    Well, in the exam, you get shown the front page of a newspaper or news website, and you have to analyse it for how it attracts its target audience, what typical traits of its type of newspaper/website it has, and stuff. You also design (Not make, just draw) the front page of your own, and explain why you did stuff in the way you did.

    For the animated film, you watch a clip of a film and analyse it for basically everything - visual codes, sonic codes, narrative codes, symbolic codes and something-else-which-I-can't-remember codes. Then you design a move poster/DVD cover for your own made-up animated film, and again explain why you did stuff the way you did.

    Study... Media. Hence Media Studies, I suppose. It's about films, TV, newspapers, all that stuff. The one I'm doing is about newspapers, electronic news and animated film.

    It was quite nice, although I got a bit sunburnt, other than Wednesday. I also had some very nice pasta on Friday.
