Round Six
Injured as he is, Feebas can think of nothing else than simply falling asleep and forgetting about his wounds, and he is grateful that his orders match up with that. Feebas focuses, drawing out healing energy, and a pulsating blue aura begins to surround him. The fish slowly falls into a deep healing trance, and drifts aimlessly in the water. The energy of his magical sleep spreads throughout his body, healing him all over. The burns and bruises caused by the seed bombs fade away, and the nasty gash on his back begins to tentatively close up. Kusa growls in a low tone, recognizing the move. Well, she'll just have to kill him twice over. Seed bomb is almost becoming routine for her, and the grovyle once again draws out an unstable package of seeds and hurls them down at Feebas as hard as she can. This time, the explosion elicits barely any response from Feebas; he shudders lightly but otherwise does not react.
Feebas begins a strange mumbling, speaking in flat tones about something or another.; his muttering steadily grows faster and more urgent, and he almost appears to stir. Kusa jumps in surprise when Feebas suddenly shoots out the water, still deeply asleep. As he continues twisting and leaping around, Kusa feels a sense of dread. She knows what's going to happen...
As Feebas stops moving, the rain intensifies, blanketing the arena in water and obscuring vision; a deafening CRACK sounds close by. Kusa sighs in exasperation. Even when he's asleep, Feebas is bothering her. It's rather difficult to relax in this storm, but Kusa hunkers down and does her best anyway, plotting her revenge.
However, it is not by her hand that Feebas meets his end. Maintaining his intense healing process on top of summoning rainclouds requires mammoth amounts of energy, energy which Feebas simply does not possess. He manages to mutter a few syllables before finally succumbing to exhaustion; he falls silent, the blue glow around him disappearing. Kusa looks down him, puzzled. She doesn't remember rest ever working that way. The grovyle experimentally runs her hand through the trench, but Feebas does not stir. Realization dawns on her, and as the ceiling retracts and the referee announces Full Metal Cookies' victory, she allows herself a smile as she is recalled. Not exactly the sort of victory she hoped for, but she can't choose her opponents; a win is a win.
