Actually I got scared after posting that that Dodge is actually town, but I don't have as developed thoughts in that case. I guess Butterfree's posting would have been pretty wolfsided, although it's mainly also been going with the flow, and the flow will have been wolfsided.

It seems like people probably don't have any earthshattering revelations from the night that will keep Dodge from being a wagon, so I think that Dodge should claim sooner rather than later so we don't have an EOD scramble again? (also, selfishly, so I can see it and react to it.) Is that a bad idea for any reason?
 
By going with the flow, I mean that Butterfree generally doesn't seem to have had particularly controversial opinions.

Separately, I'm curious if anyone has tried to "ask the shepherd anything"?

One thought about missingno: despite his volume of posting, I don't think he has had enough stances for me to form any sort of read, so I think it's notable that he's been read by others. Here I'm thinking about Butterfree's light town read for being a new player going along with the flow, DarkAura's town read for seeming like the most engaged with conversation, and MF's light scum read for being performative with the "haha I'm just a townie" posting (after which he doubled down on the jokes lol.) This probably reflects more on those players than him?

I guess I think MF's read is the least likely to be forced of those three, but then MF has other reads (on Dodge and Eif) that I found to have sort of light reasoning compared to how sure she seemed. I feel like I should probably have more of a read on MF, but mostly I would like to hear from her today... I may have already said this but I agree with Butterfree that I think MF's initial/mistaken vote justification for Butterfree on D1 was sincere regardless of alignment.

@Ever I'm curious if you still suspect MF, and if you'll be able to talk about why you voted her on d1 (if it's something you don't want to talk about, that's fine)
 
I'll answer stuff properly later because I'm trying to be asleep but is it bad if I think the more strange or "obviously suspicious" someone's posts are, the more likely it is that they're just town

(I always kind of switch off my brain when I can't really understand someone's posts because I don't think I can form proper opinions on them which is maybe why I have never really been able to say anything to the stuff people are saying about Dodge besides shrug I gueeeeessss??)

(btw Eifie I forgot to say, I think it's possible that mewt kill was somewhat without regard for her reads and just to get an active townie out of the way)

I completely agree that Dodge is absolutely the level 1 "doing things that seem strange/suspicious" suspect here, but I don't really feel moved to or have the time to look elsewhere lol. Like, I think you may be trying to prematurely apply strategies for when there is some indication that the game is actually harder than it looks. Dodge flipping town would probably be such an indicator (you could say that Mawile being a semi-consensus suspect and flipping town is an indicator, but please, it's Christmas my pet scumread)

Do you object to asking Dodge to claim today?

btw I would also feel worse about this if there had been any Dodge suspicion expressed earlier by people I haven't gotten a bead on, but note that from my POV, the Dodge wagon D1 was pure. (Of course Mawile was not really voting Dodge for reasons of suspicion of him, and as I just mentioned, mewtini may not have been killed for her reads; my point is more that no one really made it a thing yesterday.)

maybe the people who I think have been watching today but not really doing anything? I'm waugh because I don't want to punish people for not being around but also what if the mafia are just chilling watching the town cannibalize themselves

the people who fit that description I think would be DarkAura and xrunner. missingno said they were busy so I continue to wait more hours.
 
also regarding mafia avoiding the main wagons, one thing is that at eod a loooot of players were watching and not doing anything even as the people in the lead shifted and I mean it's possible that it was a bunch of townspeople watching being like SHRUG I guess but I kind of think it just didn't matter to the wolves what happened?

I am always biased towards the opinion that town is cannibalizing itself though. perhaps I am simply trying to be higher level than the game is like you said? idk man I'm hungry

What time scale do you mean by "at eod"? I think the people who ever got to 2+ votes were Mawile, MF, and Dodge, and Butterfree but only at the very end.

It looks like Dodge was in the lead starting at Mawile's vote in post 302, about 3 hours pre-EOD. The currently alive people who were in thread after that were us, Ever, MF, and Butterfree. Were there other people you had in mind?

I want to say that Butterfree going to sleep about an hour after Mawile's Dodge vote and leaving the vote count as
Dodge 3 - mewt, Keldeo, Mawile
Mawile 2 - Butterfree, Dodge
(and some other votes)
might be too blatant if they were partners (but at the same time idk what else she'd do in that situation)

I have hopes for a solid night's sleep and a beefy meal in your near future.

Sorry, keep making mistakes, should probably exit thread for the night. Dodge also made some posts after that vote. kyeugh, DarkAura, missingno, xrunner appeared to be absent.

In the time between my Dodge vote and Mawile's vote, missingno voted No Elimination and kyeugh posted to say she wouldn't be caught up before her flight.

Looking back, I will say that MF staying on Butterfree rather than following Dodge onto the Mawile wagon, when she had a clear opening to after her Butterfree vote reasoning was corrected, is a decent look if Dodge happens to be mafia, but I'm kind of talking myself out of Dodge associatives here so idk. I still think a team of Dodge and two of Butterfree/DarkAura/missingno/xrunner could be reasonable, with a side order of lost wolf meaning that associative reads aren't as useful, but I will freely admit that's narrow.

I'm thinking like the 30-60 minutes before. I didn't keep track of the people I saw were around but weren't doing anything because I don't think I'm supposed to make reads off that but I did notice many people that were there and that I was hoping would say stuff, so... it's like, in my head.
