okay, so, first off: last EoD, the Mawile wagon kinda fizzled, then kinda got rekindled. considering the flip, it's not the best look on any of the four people who made it happen, but it is also very unsubtle; it'd only really be worth the while if the purpose were to prevent an outcome that's much worse for scum
Butterfree's initial vote on Mawile doesn't seem to fit the bill. at the time, there was a three-way tie between Dodge, myself, and abstaining; nothing that would give the wolves too little maneuvering room, short of the scumteam being exactly Dodge and myself and Butterfree (which is to me self-evidently wrong because I know I'm town, but for the rest of yall, either me and Butterfree being co-wolves is extremely unlikely, or I'm a goddamn genius, and I don't advise betting on the latter case all things considered)
closer to EoD, though, Eifie and Keldeo decisively steer the vote away from Butterfree and onto Mawile -- which, if either or both are wolves with Butterfree, would be unsubtle but necessary, and would also shed new light on the whole desperate search for an alternate wagon before parking on Mawile
so, going into toDay, I think the most concrete scumteam I have is Butterfree and one of Keldeo and Eifie; at least, that's what I get assuming that every member of the scumteam has been one of the more engaged players and not one of the ones that skated around doing not much and being generally illegible
Night passes, and Mewtini gets offed. which would admittedly be an odd move for the above scumteam, who would presumably not be trying to draw further attention to the Butterfree wagon by confirming one of the people that were on it. (I'm not too swayed by any arguments towards this likely being the work of a scumteam that didn't key onto how excited Mewtini was to play with kyeugh, though; sure, newer players wouldn't cotton onto it or necessarily care much, but older players could and would use that sort of thing as cover. plus, someone has to die and it's never a fun decision to make)
now, toDay, we're down two villas in a small game, so I think it's fair to assume that we're not too far from losing, and more importantly, that the scum have more of a finger on the scale toDay provided that they're all active; that way lies good reason to be extra worried about any wagon that moves along a little too smoothly -- which is exactly what that Dodge wagon strikes me as. it'd be extra unsubtle, but if mafia were poised to win on the next miselim + kill, no one has to worry about looking bad on toDay's flip. and what a coindink! everyone who yesterDay's flip indicts, hopped on that wagon toDay. and the reasoning that went with it feels iffy, too, considering that a) Dodge hopped onto Mawile at the moment that would've been least beneficial as a wolf (my wagon was right there and no one would've glanced sideways at him hopping on there) and b) odd reasoning is more or less to be expected from an inexperienced player, especially working with as thin of a day as yesterDay was.
fwiw, I do think Keldeo not silently allowing the hammer to come down is a mild positive indicator, and while I fully believe Dodge's claim, I also wouldn't be surprised if that role were given to both town and scum. there's little time for mechspec right now, though!
anyway, call it a tunnel if you must, but I will Vote: Butterfree as she's the centerpiece of any fully active scumteam yesterDay (which is far from a given, I'll grant, but hey, best to aim first at scum who are potentially actually playing the daygame, isn't it?).
did I miss anything?
