Arena: GIGANTIC COCOON
On the rocky cliffs of the Asber coast, underneath a ridiculous overhang of nondescript stone, a bunch of bugs have decided to join together and make a GIANT COCOON that hangs and swings dangerously low over the crashing gray waves below. The huge, white-silk orb is oblong in shape, with huge, wiggly support beams sticking out of the top. Bugs, from anorith to yanma and joltik to scolipede, crawl across the surface, bringing food and water and other necessities. It's a rather nice community, honestly, and like all good communities it must inevitably be the site of an ASB pokémon battle.
The cocoon's inner parts, about the size of a few three-story buildings laid on their sides, on top of one another, are divided in such a way that the very bottom, where the battle takes place, is about as big as a mansion. The floor is interwoven silk, very soft and damp, and you can see the ocean below through gaps as big as a guy's head. The ocean, by the way, is about thirty feet away at the bottom of the floor's curve, and can easily fuel water-based attacks. Kakuna, cascoon, and other hibernating bugs coat the walls like sleeping ornaments, and spires of supporting silk spring from the ground to the ceiling, like trees. Small rocklike balls of the stuff also cover the ground, and can be used as projectiles if needed. Also, this section of the GIGANTIC COCOON is big enough for weather moves to work easily, and if Sunny Day is used it makes a bunch of League Volbeat use Tail Glow and Flash all at once on the ceiling, to be inclusive.
Once every round, during a random action, a swarm of any given unevolved bugs (caterpie, joltik, etc.), led by their fully-evolved form (a butterfree, a galvantula, etc.) will attack, dealing 4% Bug-type damage to the battlers but giving each on a random berry in addition to its other item. These berries stack, but will be taken by Blastoise for his shop at the end of battle. They will also leave one of their number behind on each trainer and the referee, as adorable spies. No two pokémon will swarm twice unless there are no more new ones to be chosen, and due to strange pokémon cruelty laws no one can technically remove one of the little buggers from their person by force. (Why would you want to, though?)
Arena status: Unchanged.
-----
Led by Blastoise Fortooate, a trio somehow plew into the GIGANTIC COCOON. This gargantuan bundle of silk hung over the ocean, with support beams keeping it in place and providing a means of nurturing those who grow within it.
It was quite troublesome to adjust the footing to stand in this unusual place -- the soft, damp ground sometimes proved considerably sticky, not to mention the disaster each time somebody stepped into one of the gaps. Thankfully, none were big enough for a human being to fall through completely, but it was troublesome to get whomever blundered out.
After all this sacrifice, they managed to get in postion, with Blastoise and Le Sabre facing each other and Metallica Fanboy standing bewteen them. The latter recited the rules for this battle, then gave the signal for sendouts.
When Blastoise Fortooate combed through his Pokéballs, however, he noticed that the one he'd been intending to use was missing. With permission, he quickly fetched it from his PC, and henceforth, released his pick: a meter-tall fluff of stiff purple hairs, staring all over the arena with her countless eyes, bundled up in two macro-units.
In response, Le Sabre unleashed an extremely teeny-tiny cluster of yellow fur, which bounced and shifted incessantly, and seemed completely undanted by the unusual terrain, as though he was used to it.
With another signal, the battle began.
Without a moment of hesitation, Nickolaus darted towards his opponent, delivering a cross-cut with his front legs straight into his foe's head. However, as she backed off from the hit, he smelled something funny in the air... And then he had a violent allergic reaction. It was so severe, he could hardly even control his muscles when it kicked in.
Happy to see the Stun Spore make its victim, Leper Dot readied the next battery. She concentrated massive amounts of toxic spores in her already poisonous body, then started shuffling her hairs, scattering the powder all over. Her opponent helplessly inhaled those as well, and they quickly started their raid on his systems.
The Joltik fought back in spite of his ever-worsening condition, though. Raising his backside for (misreably failed) intimidation, he shot a bright ray of Bug-type energy, overloading his enemy's keen senses as it struck.
Meanwhile, something silently crept behind the battle...
Only was anybody the wiser about it when the Ariados hanging by a single string let out a bellowing screech. A swarm of Spinarak immediately dropped from the ceiling, each hanging onto their own web. Three of them latched onto the trainers and referees; the remainder jumped the battlers, hysterically assaulting them with smacks from the many legs, scratches from the mandibles, jabs from the horns and, worst of all, ugly stares from the abdomen.
After the siege, however, two of the arachnid Pokémon lowered a berry for each one of the battlers. One was roundish, with yellow, red-speckled skin; other was small and sturdy, with two different-colored lobes.
The spider squad then moved back up, as silently as they had arrived, leaving only the ones who were attached to the humans.
Thoroughly miffed by this turn of events, Leper Dot could not focus on her next command, and instead, tripped over the stupid flooring and nearly fell through one of the holes, ending up stuck facefirst into it. In this state, she was a sitting duck for Nickolaus' next attack: a voltaic discharge, straight from his electric pouch. He'd been saving up just for that.

Additional notes:
- Is this your first battle in this ASB, Le Sabre? Because referees get extra cash for reffing a trainer's first battle now.
- Figured the powder combo wouldn't happen, for the same reasons why the rules specifically state Hyper Beam + Ice Beam wouldn't work. I'm not entirely sure about this, though.
- Signal Beam on the second action caused confusion.
- While reading through Ariados' Pokédex entries, I realized
it's fucking evil.
- Le Sabre commands first next round.
