D/P/Pt Conveniently Chosen Pokemon...

Darksong

Back in action!
This is what I'm planning. And I might need recommendations for the last slots.

Pokemon 1: Gallade
[ 6 HP / 251 Atk / 1 Def / 253 Spe ]
ADAMANT Nature @ Choice Scarf (Ability: Steadfast)
Close Combat
Ice Punch
Psycho Cut
Night Slash

Note: Unfortunately, this guy got Pokerus when his effort was odd. The best solution I can see for this is to get rid of his HP and Defense effort, give him two more points on Attack [Pokerus, remember?] and then get his HP to 4.

Pokemon 2: Espeon
[ 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe ]
TIMID Nature @ ? (Ability: Synchronize)
Psychic
Signal Beam
???
???

Pokemon 3: Tropius
[ 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe ]
MODEST Nature @ ? (Ability: Solar Power)
Energy Ball
Leech Seed
???
???

I'm also planning a Stealth Rock Swampert

Pokemon 4 in planning: Swampert
[ 252 HP / ??? Def / ??? SpD ]
??? Nature @ ? (Ability: Torrent)
Stealth Rock
Hammer Arm
???
???

Pokemon 5 and 6: ???

As you can see, my team is... not quite finished. xD I'm not much of a competitive battler, but I've sorted out Gallade quite well. The rest... needs some work.

Espeon and Tropius are odd picks. What kind of team are you actually shooting for? Standard? Low-tier?

I'm not actually sure. I have a couple of friends who like to battle, especially one who's pretty stuck-up about his Arceus. :P I like to mix up teams and surprise the opponent, I guess. Maybe I'm just building a competitive team for the heck of it. XD

Actually, I'm not aiming for a specific tier. Mostly I use my favorite Pokemon that would be of any use in competitive battling. I occasionally go on Wi-Fi, and I'm aiming to have a pretty good team at some point so I can finally put my friend code to use.

These teams take a lot of planning....

All changes in red.

Pokemon 1: Gallade
[ 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe ]
ADAMANT Nature @ Choice Scarf (Ability: Steadfast)
Close Combat
Ice Punch
Psycho Cut
Night Slash

Looks fine. I'd also recommend trying a Choice Band set with Shadow Sneak, although I dunno how well that would work.

Note: Unfortunately, this guy got Pokerus when his effort was odd. The best solution I can see for this is to get rid of his HP and Defense effort, give him two more points on Attack [Pokerus, remember?] and then get his HP to 4.

Just use an EV reducing berry for defense - I believe it's a Qualot Berry? I forget.

Pokemon 2: Espeon
[ 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe ]
TIMID Nature @ Life Orb / Choice Specs (Ability: Synchronize)
Psychic
Signal Beam
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power Fighting

Gengar generally does a better job than Espeon at essentially everything because of its larger, less predictable movepool. Espeon will need Shadow Ball and a good Hidden Power type (Fighting in this case) to be decent.

Pokemon 3: Tropius
[ 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe ]
MODEST Nature @ Choice Specs (Ability: Chlorophyll)
Energy Ball
Leech Seed Leaf Storm
Hidden Power Fire
Air Slash

... Oh-kay. Little out of nowhere there... Anyway, you'll want Chlorophyll over Solar Power if you expect to be sweeping anything. Give it Choice Specs, Leaf Storm, Air Slash, and drop Leech Seed. HP Fire is its best option for the final move, but unless it has that, you're pretty much stuck.

I'm also planning a Stealth Rock Swampert

Pokemon 4 in planning: Swampert
[ 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA OR SpD, whichever ]
Relaxed Nature @ Leftovers (Ability: Torrent)
Stealth Rock
Hammer Arm Earthquake
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump

OR

252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
Impish @ Leftovers (Ability: Torrent)
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Waterfall / Avalanche
Avalanche

All right. You'll have to choose between a mixed set or a physical set, whichever you'd rather. Hammer Arm isn't a good move, on account of most of its other attacks cover what Hammer Arm would.

Pokemon 5 and 6: ???

Well, let's see. A Rapid Spinner is always a nice thing to have around. Something like Forretress should do nicely. You have a lack of physical sweepers, and as such, Blissey would wall this team full stop if Gallade is taken out of the picture. A nice physical or mixed sweeper/wall breaker is in order. Infernape and Salamence are good mixed sweepers, and Scizor is a brilliant pure-physical one.

Actually, I'm not aiming for a specific tier. Mostly I use my favorite Pokemon that would be of any use in competitive battling. I occasionally go on Wi-Fi, and I'm aiming to have a pretty good team at some point so I can finally put my friend code to use.

Well, considering you have used Gallade, a BL (and therefore banned from UU), and Swampert, an OU, your team would only be allowed in Ubers and OU. Since your team wouldn't last a second in Ubers, OU is the one you should worry about.
