Crazy Linoone vs Flora and Ashes

Whoa, crud, I totally missed that. Whoops.

Anyway:

Okay, since your energy total's kinda high, why don't you try a little Fury Swipes on that little Totodile. Then Chill, and finish it off with another Defense Curl:

Fury Swipes~Chill~Defense Curl

Hmmm... Let's start with a Water Pulse attack straight at the Sandshrew while it's busy slashing away at your clone. Then, just Chill away~

Arena: World Civilization Classroom

A standard high-school classroom; you know, with the desks-attached-to-chairs. Unfortunately, though, they're still scattered across the room, and may need moving.

Every round, there is a 10% chance that the teacher will come in and watch the battle for a few turns. Every action, he has a 20% chance of scolding one of the Pokemon on the battlefield, causing the attack damage to lower by 3%.
Other: Well, seeing as there's no swimming room, you can't really have Pokemon that must be in water, can you?

Ice has frozen around her claws, making them sharper (+1 damage/swing), but using them uses more energy.
Frozen (severe); -1 speed.

The battle is brought to a screeching halt as the door to the classroom slams open; both Pokémon turn to stare, watching the intimidating person that steps through the doorway. The teacher glares at the battlers, saying nothing for now.

Crunch blinks her one good eye, focusing on Sabure again. He can see him well enough, so the totodile draws water from inside him, pushing it out at great speeds towards the sandshrew, accompanied by a deafening scream. The water pulse pushes aside a desk on its way to Sabure, but it isn’t deterred, soaking him quite thoroughly; the ground-type shivers through the water and ice encasing him.

He stands slowly, bracing himself as the heavy ice wears him down. It only takes a second for him to raise himself, however, and rush at the damned totodile that he hated so much, claws first – slashing and clawing wildly. The ice that covered his paws now assisted him, adding strength to each blow he landed; many deep cuts covered Crunch’s blue skin, dripping blood.

Gritting his teeth, Crunch sits down on the class floor, wiping the blood from his many scrapes and cuts. He closes his good eye, intent on resting, when he’s startled out of his rest by someone speaking.

“You there! Totodile! This is no time for resting. Show some strategy, young one, some intelligence; sleeping is not strategy.” The teacher taps his foot impatiently, clearly unimpressed.

Crunch groans. He can’t disagree with the man; though he’s quite tired, he does share the opinion that battle should be exciting and strategic and … fun. While chilling just seems rather lame. But the totodile keeps his wits, remaining in place; he manages to regain some lost energy, albeit less than he could have. The teacher doesn’t say anything else, thankfully.

Sabure grins foolishly at the teacher’s mocking, quite glad it wasn’t aimed at him. He feels noticeably less tired than his opponent, and indeed has more motive for revenge, so chilling seems rather out of place for him of all Pokémon; but he doesn’t argue. He sits on his behind, closing his eyes and sighing, allowing himself to calm down and relax. He notices his claws are a tad lighter; the ice is beginning to melt already, which he feels rather thankful for.

Since the teacher remains silent, perhaps growing bored, Crunch has no qualms about remaining still. He even curls up, hugging his tail to his body, and begins to daydream about less scary arenas. Perhaps a nice lake with some fish Pokémon he could hunt…

Sabure, on the other hand, opens his eyes quite readily. Spotting the totodile still resting, he grabs his tail and curls himself up, folding into a ball. To any onlooker, he would look just like a sand-coloured soccer ball, nothing special about him; and his rough exterior makes him particularly invulnerable to physical attacks. Added to this, the heat he’s generating, and capturing, by being so balled up, is quickly melting the ice on his claws. They’ll be melted in no time at all if he keeps this up… if he was still conscious to see it.

- The teacher appeared and criticized Crunch on the second action, but since he was chilling, he regained less energy rather than doing less damage.
- Fury Swipes hit 5 times, one if which was a critical hit. Each hit did more damage due to the ice encasing Sabure’s claws, but also took more energy.
- Crazy Linoone attacks first.

Don't worry about the teacher, Crunch! After all, you're the one who can shoot water from your mouth. Can that teacher shoot water from its mouth? No! See, you're the better one here. And who cares about strategy anyway, as long as you can win, no?
Now, since we're more or less done here, let's just Water Pulse our way through this. If the Sandshrew uses Protect any action, go ahead and chill.

Crunch nods at his trainers words. He agrees, the teacher is just a stupid, jealous human! And besides, he isn’t there anymore. Crunch guesses that since the teacher couldn’t unnerve him, he left. Smiling now, the totodile spits out another stream of water towards the balled-up sandshrew. The water pulse rolls Sabure into the wall, pushing him into it harshly, but the sandshrew continues to hold himself in a ball shape. Even when the water stops coming and Sabure feels as if he could hardly hold on, he stays balled up.

Even more, he tightens himself further, eliminating any holes or weak spots that might exist. His claws continue to defrost in his warm stomach; unfortunately, he knows he won’t be awake to use them. One more hit and he’ll be out.

Crunch knows this too. The totodile releases one last water pulse, smacking Sabure into the classroom’s wall; as strong current of water holds him there, he slowly uncurls, unable to keep himself balled up any longer. He falls to the ground when Crunch runs out of water, landing with a thud. Crunch waits - for a moment it seems as if Sabure will get up – but he doesn’t, instead closing his eyes and sighing. He’s done.

Oh dear. This is going to be bad...

Uh, when the Pachirisu charges at you with the Spark attack, I want you to Mud-Slap it in the face and, hopefully, stop it in mid-attack or at least blind it. After that, Dig underground. The ground might be sorta hard, but you can do it! Plus, it's always fun to destroy some classrooms. Stay underground for the next turn and just Chill, so we can escape from the Discharge attack.

If you can't Mud-Slap or Dig for some reason (maybe due to the ground being too hard? Although they're not banned, so I assume that the attacks should work, but just in case...) Counter the Spark and Toxic as fast as you can. Then, Protect against the Discharge.

With the releases of his new opponent, Crunch is feeling rather discouraged. An electric type? … Great. But his trainers’ commands lift his spirits; his trainer always knows what to do! Smiling, the totodile braces himself, knowing that whatever comes will hurt but that he’ll return it twice-fold.

Hibana swishes his tail, clearly unimpressed by the totodile. How did Sabure manage to fall to such a wimp? Smirking, his fur begins to spark wildly as the pachirisu gets down to all fours and runs full-speed at the waiting Crunch. The two collide with incredible force, releasing a burst of electricity on impact – and at the same time, Hibana is sent flying into the class wall behind him with an incredible force. He hits the wall with a thud and skids to the floor, a stunned look on his face, while Crunch twitches; electricity snakes across his body, apparently not finished with him.

Hibana gets to his feet, glaring at Crunch. How dare he attack me like that? The pachirisu is infuriated, and shows this with a flick of a paw – which releases multiple tiny stars in the Crunch’s direction. Though indeed small, there are so many of the bright white stars that commutatively, they pack quite a punch, leaving Crunch even more scraped than he was before.

Even worse, the totodile finds he can’t even move enough to generate the toxins needed to spit at Hibana. He stares at his opponent, tired and aching, wishing he could hurt him in some way – but all he can do is stand in place.

Hibana smirks, clearly pleased. The totodile was getting what he deserved, and now he’d get even more. The pachirisu sparked with blue electricity, generating a wave of light across his body – which spread outwards towards Crunch. But it never hit, instead bouncing off a transparent barrier and fizzing out. Hibana snarled in annoyance at his failed attack; that stupid totodile kept ruining everything!

Paralyzed, huh... Well, at least we did quite a lot of damage to that squirrel. And it seems like we can't dig here... That kinda sucks.

Why don't you start with a Facade, since you're paralyzed and all. And, you know what, just keep on using Facade. I know it's going to be hard, but hey, at least you get some sweet revenge. If you found yourself paralyzed and unable to move, or the Pachirisu uses Protect, go ahead and chill. If the Pachirisu uses an electric-type move, use Protect, but not twice in a row. Now go for it, Crunch! Show that squirrel not to underestimate water types!

Hibana hisses with rage and gets down on all four, his fur standing on edge and sparking wildly. He rushes towards Crunch, jumping into the air only feet away from him – and slams head-first into a protective barrier, bouncing off with a burst of static discharge. Crunch winces at the impact, struggling to maintain the barrier – he’s growing rather tired – while Hibana lands heavily on the classroom floor, scrambling to his feet and glaring at Crunch. So, he avoided one attack; no big deal. The next one’ll take him down easy! Unfortunately Crunch feels quite the same way, sighing as he releases the protect shield and returns Hibana’s glare.

The Pachirisu suddenly grins, knowing this attack will hit for sure. The electricity returns to his body, running across his fur like hyperactive snakes. He doesn’t bother going on four legs, since he’s so close, and simply runs at Crunch on his hind-legs. It’s more than enough of an impact to make Crunch squeal in pain, bending over his stomach in the fetal position as the electricity sparks across him. Hibana takes a few steps back, smirking. Even worse than the pain, Crunch is now stuck, the spark attack having worsened his paralyses and freezing him in place. He clings to his legs and takes a deep breath, calming himself down; it’s not easy to do when you can’t move, but he manages to regain some energy, at least.

Hibana tsks at his opponent as he sits down himself – no good Pokémon would give in to paralysis. Weakling. The pachirisu is still smirking as he closes his eyes and begins to breathe deep, calming himself down enough to get back into top shape. Crunch does the same, staying in the same fetal position as before. At least this time the paralyses isn’t quite as bad; though it’s still hard to relax, he can move a few inches, enough to make himself more comfortable. He’s still tired, though… too tired.

Hmmmm this sucks. You're low on energy, and there doesn't seem to be any time for rest... Let's Counter the Spark attack and deal some major damage to that stupid squirrel-thing. Revenge is sweet, you know~

Now, Sweet Kiss is going to be a pain. Let's just hope that it misses... Since you're paralyzed and all, use Facade and see if you can deal out some more damage. We can use your paralysis to our favor!

Lastly,Counter the Spark again.

And, again, if paralysis acts up during any turn, just Chill. If you got confused and don't think you'll be able to execute an attack without hurting yourself, Chill, too.

Crunch attempts to brace himself for the upcoming attack, knowing full well that whichever way this action goes, it’s going to hurt. Unfortunately, it proves impossible for him to move from his current location – all he can do is twitch and relax, waiting for what’s to come. He stays calm even when he hears the electricity being charged, hissing like wild ekans about to strike; even when he sees Hibana rushing at him out of the corner of his eye, when he feels the sharp burn of electricity rushing through his aquatic body. He simply closes his eyes and ignores the pain, concentrating instead on something more peaceful. Hibana doesn’t care that Crunch doesn’t scream or whimper, since the damage he dealt is plainly visible by the burn marks left on the totodile’s body; he simple takes a few steps backwards and smirks.

Now that he’s distanced himself, Hibana steps forwards again. He licks his lips and grins before bending over and landing one of the most devastating blows a Pokémon can – a kiss, right on Crunch’s forehead. As if that weren’t horrible enough, the kiss is laced with a nasty toxin which seeps right through the totodile’s porous skin, right into his brain. He can feel the effects of the chemicals immediately… Everything around him changes shape, becoming liquid and flowing into one another as if dancing. Crunch blinks, attempting to clear his vision, to no avail – it just worsens. The classrooms’ colours flash brightly, beckoning to him, so he gets up off the floor and follows them – waving his stubby arms at the classroom windows as he struggles to stay upright, his sense of balance completely out of whack.

Hibana chuckles at this clearly amusing sight before he gets down on all fours, fur standing on end. Bright blue electricity sparks across his body, dancing like the totodile he’s about to strike down; he dashes at maximum speed, the electricity powering up as he closes in on his opponent, and strikes –

- with an explosion of heat and lightning, Hibana is thrown into the wall behind him, sliding to the floor as he had before. He gets up more slowly than previously, rubbing his head and mumbling before glancing at Crunch with trepidation. The totodile he had assumed to be defenseless had been preparing his counterattack while Hibana was busy gloating, it seems. Though Crunch appeared deathly tired, hunched over on his knees and breathing heavily, a bright blue aura burned around the small water Pokémon. Each time he breathed, the glow grew stronger, strengthening Crunch as well; clearly he was not finished yet.

Nice, Crunch! Really nice! In case you haven't noticed, you have managed to bring your opponent, who has a type advantage over you, to almost half its health even though you were really injured yourself! You should be proud of yourself.

Now, now, let's see if we can get rid of the annoying electric squirrel. Since you're low on health, it's time to just give it all you've got! With Torrent activated, we should be able to make something really damaging do more damage than it already should...

Since we can't really Surf in this classroom, Hydro Cannon sounds like a good attack now, don't you think? But since you're about to faint anyway... How about this.

If the squirrel uses some non-physical attack or any attack not electric type, Endure + Hydro Cannon.

If the squirrel uses a physical electric attack like spark, Endure + Counter, then Hydro Cannon if you still can.

If the squirrel uses Protect, just.... Chill, I guess. Nothing you can do for that. Follow with a Hydro Cannon.

If the squirrel doesn't do any damaging attack, just Hydro Cannon away!

Let's see how far this gets us. And, who knows, you might be able to beat that squirrel!

psh this thing looks so complicated in proper format...[/1]

Hibana picks himself up off the floor, his glare not wavering from Crunch for even a second. The totodile stares back at him, his eyesight blurring as he thinks over his commands; there are too many for him to know what to do, and besides that, his mind is falling prey to the confusion once more. He loses sight of Hibana, noticing the beautiful classroom floor instead. So shiny… much more interesting than a pachirisu that wants to kill him.

Clearly Hibana thinks otherwise. Bright blue sparks dance across his fur, spreading outwards in a thin sheet of electricity. The pachirisu releases the attack with a scream and a wave of his arms; the discharge runs wild, the thin sheet of electricity growing more frenzied as it spreads outwards. It latches onto Crunch, the entire wave closing in on the little water Pokémon; Crunch has only a moment of clarity to feel the paralyzing pain before all strength leaves his body. He falls to the ground, eyes closed, only a few stray sparks still running across his limp body; he’s recalled into his Pokéball within seconds.
