I'm excited to be here. I used to frequent this forum in middle school (elementary school??), but now I'm 22 and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the forum is still active, ten years later. Can that be right???
Anyway, I just graduated with a degree in Biology (Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution) from a Texas university, and am living and working and all that good stuff for the time being. I think of myself as a herpetologist (my username comes from a salamander I study) and just love nature and.... well, everything.
I like languages, cultures, history, science, nature, video games... I grew up speaking English and German, and am trying to learn Albanian. I'm enjoying it so far.
As for Pokemon, I truly love it. It's been a source of comfort for me my entire life. I tend to focus mostly on Gen 1 because that's what I've played most. I do love Generations 2 and 3, though. I've played Diamond once and Platinum once, but nothing after that. I'll admit I'm not too familiar with gen 4, and have no knowledge of Pokemon more recent than that, so I apologize for that. I'm not a militant "gen1er" or anything. There's nothing superior about it.... it's just what I like best, you know?
Anyway, that's me. I look forward to hanging around here and maybe getting to know some of y'all!
